This is a very basic fact that liberals and progressives, especially, refuse to acknowledge: In the name of "tolerance" you cannot allow and accept a doctrine-- political, religious, whatever-- that is hostile to tolerance.

Fundamentalist Islam-- whether Shia or Sunni-- does not respect freedom of speech, for example. It specifically forbids it in many areas. Women are treated as inferiors. Gays are persecuted, even killed. These religious practices are NOT compatible with our Constitution, or with our way of life, our values.

The Donald: What Bill Whittle Loves About Donald Trump...

http://www.pjtv.com/series/aft...ith-bill-whittle-56/

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Carson is correct, of course.

Islam is wholly incompatible with liberty and our Constitution, and those who believe in that kooky shit better get it through their skulls or promptly get the fuck out.

Absolutely correct. We can do much, much, worse than Trump, because we are doing much, much, much worse than Trump right now.

I think that is right. FOX has been the MSNBC that saw a ratings opening. So they cultivated the idea that they had a right leaning perspective-- while advertising "fair and balanced." But think about it. Their most popular personality is Bill O'Reilly. An unbearable windbag who is, for instance, staunchly pro-2A, except for "heavy weapons." WTF? And he criticizes Obama after a lengthy interview, but assures the viewers that Obama has "a good heart." Megyn, with her "war on women" question, was right smack-dab in this approach to appease the lefties. FOX goes one step right, two steps left. And since we never otherwise ever see even one step right, we get excited about them.

Trump blew their cover, as he has blown the cover of so many others. They are the cable news for Shep Smith, Juan Williams, Geraldo Rivera, and RINOs like Brit Hume.

Credit to Solitar for posting this in another thread, but since Ben Carson brought it up, I'd like to suggest the next POTUS place Ms. Brigitte in a strategic position battling Radical Islam...

Thanks for posting the Whittle clip. Excellent, as always.

Carson is perhaps learning a bit from Trump. Come up with a truthful statement that will make the liberals howl, kick and stomp, and then not apologize for it.

Telling the truth is now a revolutionary act. Because it is a time of "universal deceit."

object lessons in relativity:

when The Donald is the voice of reason...

and single truthful statements are somehow noteworthy...

these are, again, merely reflective of how absurd the status quo has become, how full of shit most politicians are, and how something like Trump's candidacy, which at first seemed tragically comical, might actually be what awakens a winnable majority that crosses partisan and intraparty boundaries.

Bernie Sanders is a self described Socialist, front and center with his euro-inspired ideology, so kooky and risky even most Democrats are sure he'll never get their nomination, much less win, and then there's Hillary, whose email scandal might do us all a favor and take herself out of contention, on top of her wretched demeanor that has to be hard for most to even like a little, which leaves, who, Joe? crazy uncle Joe?

our odds are improving.

now all we have to do is not nominate a sure loser...

which rules out Jeb, Christie, Santorum, and Huckabee at least.

and Carly is a risk, as she has some anti and kooky ideas about Marijuana which will cost a lot of young and middle votes, plus I'm not sure she's ready, or could win the big prize anyway.

same with Carson, a good man, a bright man, but not a fighter or a motivator, and probably not quite ready for this role anyway. the odds of him winning it all seem extremely long.

Trump is far from perfect, but I just don't see another route to the Whitehouse that doesn't end up with another Democrat.

Then again, there was a time when no one had heard of Obama either, so I suspect a few wildcards are still possible.

During GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump’s Twitter #AskTrump question and answer, the GOP front-runner was asked if he would “forgo the presidential salary if elected.”

Trump replied by first saying he is totally self-funding his campaign, and then he said he would decline the presidential salary, not taking “even one dollar” if elected.

I understand that the Kennedy brothers did not take salaries for their times in office, turning them back to Treasury, or to charities.

Those fox people seem to be riding the Republican contestants harder than the left and far left. They surely don't want Trump to get the nomination.

Oh, wait, they are the left. Some treacherous sobs in that crowd.

Well did not go well for Jeb today, wife was watching the news, said Jeb was at his fund raiser in Houston, and he brought up multi-culture BS, and the people there booed him. Which I guess that means he moves up in the poles rapidly according to Fox logic.
