So, Bloomberg has been threatening to enter the race, and if he's not bluffing, this may put him into the race.

Conservatives, then, will be able to contend and make their case for the nomination. This is a best case scenario, Levin reasons.

That's an interesting thought, but Levin seems to be assuming that current trends will continue. I think South Carolina could produce very different results for the field. Kasich, for example, seems to have no organization or history in South Carolina at all.

I think he's saying they can't all get behind one person, so they will keep dragging each other down by splitting the votes.

Reminder - the Republicans changed the primary rules this year.

For state primary elections held after 14 March, it is winner take all. No splitting of the delegates.

No splitting delegates, but Kasich had 16%, Bush and Rubio 11%, and Christie 8%. If 3 of the 4 dropped out by SC all those voters could unite behind one candidate. The fact most of them will be staying in the race means that voting block will be split in SC, NV, and possibly the SEC. The establishment votes won't be this high in every state, but it helps Cruz and Trump.

Yes indeedy. All it is succeeding in doing is getting Trump the nomination. If the others, without a snowball's chance, did the right thing and dropped out, Cruz would be running away with it.

That's a very scary thought as I think Bloomberg is a stronger candidate than both Hillary and Sanders..Also could you imagine the stuff he'd pass based upon NY........ He at least has a ton of money to back himself......

Rest assured, nobody out this way hardly even knows who the fuck Kasich is, much less supports this inconsequential twatwaffle. If he gets 5% in the SW states I'll be amazed.

I also agree that he, Jeb, and Cristie need to disappear from the race, and return to the sidelines from whence they came. They had a fair shot, and have failed to motivate any meaningful numbers. Out to pasture, with ya. Be gone. Shoo. Scram. Imshi.

Well, Christie said he was heading home to Jersey to think about things, 46. You may get your wish tomorrow. There is no point in Carly or Carson staying in the race either at this point.

The other interesting thing being reported is Bush is going "scorched earth" on Rubio and Kasich in SC.

They said earlier that Kasich was down to 2.5 million, don't think that's going to take him to far.

I believe Bloomy said he would enter the race if the nominees were Sanders on the D side and either Cruz or Trump on the R side. Which would be great, as that would be so late in the race, that he would likely not get too much of a following.

As we all know, he will pull more votes from the Dem side. He's really full of himself, if he thinks he can win. I think part of his mentality is, if Trump can do it, I can do it better.

Literally, who cares? He's spent $100M on TV ads so far, and it's barely moved the needle. NO ONE is paying attention to anything he says.

Fox saying Christie is suspending his campaign.

http://hotair.com/archives/201...xpected-to-pull-out/

Trump says:

“I think that Chris did an amazing job in terms of the debate, as a prosecutor, and he’s a friend of mine,” Trump said early Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

“And he actually called me last night, and we had a long talk, and he’s a little disappointed because he really did do a great job, he did an amazing job during that debate,”
