“And he actually called me last night, and we had a long talk, and he’s a little disappointed because he really did do a great job, he did an amazing job during that debate,”

Christie as attorney general in a Trump administration? He could do worse.

As the AG pic, he and Trump instantly lose all support of younger and libertarian leaning voters as Christie is rabidly anti pot. He alone will sink the Trump ship.

If Cruz doesn't win the nomination, he's probably headed for AG anyhow. Cruz would get it over Christie pretty easily.

I don't see how Cruz ends up in a Trump Cabinet. As ugly as things have been the past few weeks they are going to look like skirmishes with what's coming in the next few primaries.

Christi might make a decent AG, but I think Cruz would be outstanding in that position. Do his time there, and then put him on the SCROTUS.

Hopefully as the one in charge.

Cruz would be foolish to give up a Senate seat to be in the Cabinet.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

I agree with above on Cruz leaving the senate. On a side note Charles Munger stated that Trump is morally unqualified to be POTUS, he also stated Sanders is nuts! MG

A lot of people laugh at Trump saying Mexico will pay for the wall.

Check this:

http://hotair.com/archives/201...that-wall-after-all/

Remittances sent home by Mexicans working outside the country surpassed petroleum revenues in 2015 for the first time. There was a 4.75% increase in money sent from abroad, most of which comes from the U.S., to total US $24.8 billion last year, up from $23.6 billion in 2014, said the Bank of México.

The bank said it was the first time remittances had totaled more than petroleum revenues since it began tracking them in 1995. Oil revenues last year totaled $23.4 billion.

This is apparently the reality of the Mexican economy. They have more cash flowing into the country via letters and wire service from people working in the United States than they get from exporting oil.

This means the government of Mexico is more dependent than ever on the earnings of maids and gardeners in the U.S. to keep itself afloat. This is the leverage Donald Trump talks about to pressure Mexico to pay for the border wall.

Trump’s proposal carries: the border wall solution, the employment solution, the enforcement mechanisms of current law, and another angle that is strategically essential. “WESTERN UNION REMITTANCES” (Money Services Compliance)

Believe it or not, these wire transfer services require more solid identification (photo)than to vote in our elections.

It aint from maids and gardeners. Most of that money is drug money being funneled back to the cartels for their product.

Dividing that number between the 10 million illegals we have here comes out to about $2,500 per. That's believable.

It is my hope that Mr. Cruz will be on the ticket come November.

That failing, the only place for him that would be better for us than having him serving in the Senate is for him to occupy a seat on the Supreme Court.

Thanks,

Here is the story from Bloomberg:

quote:
Berkshire Hathaway Inc. Vice Chairman Charles Munger criticized leading candidates from both major U.S. political parties.

At a meeting with investors of his Daily Journal Corp. in Los Angeles Wednesday, Munger, 92, was asked whether a person who couldn’t make money in the gaming industry would be a good fit for the top office in the U.S.

“Well, he did make money for quite a while,” Munger said of Republican Donald Trump. “My attitude is that anybody who makes money running a casino is not morally qualified.”

QuickTake How the U.S. Elects Its Presidents

Munger has long railed against gambling. He’s also criticized some parts of finance as being akin to a casino. At last year’s Daily Journal meeting, he faulted politicians who rely on revenue from gaming or lotteries to balance their budgets.

Munger on Wednesday also commented on Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders. The billionaire said that the Vermont senator and French economist Thomas Piketty were too focused on their egalitarian views and income inequality, and that people will tolerate different outcomes in wealth if they are well deserved.
‘Little Nuts’

“My attitude is that both Piketty and Sanders are a little nuts,” Munger said. “If you want to look at what non-egality brings us,” people should look at the Soviet Union, Communist China and North Korea, he said.

Munger said he understands resentment about what he called “undeserved” fortunes, like the wealth that some money managers can accumulate through tax advantages. Yet Munger said that for a democratic country, inequality is a natural outcome.

“As an intellectual he’s a disgrace,” Munger said of Sanders. “Now, I don’t think he’s any worse than some of our Republicans. But at least they’re crazy in a different way.”

I'm trying to figure out just HOW someone at the top of Berkshire Hathaway has any cred discussing the status quo.

Just read another piece saying if Trump gets elected its tantamount to investment suicide.

Whatever.
