Everyone seems to be piling on that Trump is making a mistake by skipping the debate. Were any of you who think that way also critical of Megyn Kelly in the first debate? If so, how else can you put pressure on a network to reign in their peeps. Didn't the RNC just drop a leftist network from their approved lineup? What's the difference?

There is no other candidate in either party that can squeeze a network by boycotting. Rand Paul skipped the last Jr. Varsity debate and no one cared or noticed. Trump's absence will cost them viewers, which in turn will cost them money.

I'm glad to see him take a shot at them. He may well go up in the polls again after sitting this one out. All the other candidates will still be talking about him throughout the debate. Either way, the biggest story of the night is still Trump.

Sometimes absence is the best influence. I learned that once when I was trying to win a young lady away from my competition. It worked. Smile

I've always thought Cruz would win Iowa, against Trump.

I also think it doesn't matter much, either way.

But it's just a guess.

Donald Trump is in danger of becoming a ... second-rate ass clown.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

So Trump pulled out of the next debate, right. I heard Megan talk about him not participating because she is a moderator.

Maybe Trump knows something about Kelly that we do not.

Up to the point that she starts talking, she could be considered an attractive individual.

Then, recently, she whacked off her hair only to wind up looking like a blonde Rachel Madcow.

Not being content with that, she whacks off some more only to wind up appearing to be an Ellen DeGenerate double.

Somebody had better inform Luke Skywalker that Kelly is going over to the Dyke Side!!

I can’t help but wonder when we’ll see her first appearance in a tv commercial for Snap-On Tools……….

Draw me a picture of how Don comes out on top against Kelley again. He doesn't. It's a trap to lure him into being a woman-hating asshole on live TV.

Or . . . he dodges it entirely, goes to some small time town-hall type of event. He ends up being the champion of the little guy, eschewing the spotlight in favor of hearing real world problems from the people of Iowa. He still ends up being the talk of the town on every media outlet as the star who turned them down. He robs the GOP of one last chance to tank him before the primary, and Kelley of another shot at revenge.

So maybe I'm too simple to see it, but could somebody show me how Don loses on this?

Suppose that relighting the FOX/Kelly issue has a purpose. As I mentioned in an earlier post, Trump has warned the media that he does not need them, they need him.

If he does well in the second debate (strictly in terms of his poll numbers going up after the debate) he may skip the final FOX debate, blame them for it, hold at the same time a live web-based Q&A or commentary on the debate itself. If that happens... gee I wonder which one the public would "tune" in to?

Trump may still implode; though it seems unlikely at the moment.

Mark Cuban stated that Donald Trump is a killer who does not respect weakness. We are witnessing this in all its glory every day.

I think it is a great decision.

As JALLEN posted a while back, these dog and pony shows are not debates, but informercials. And having someone like Kelly back as a moderator is MSNBC stupid. Trump doesn't need this bullshit. They actually need him. Watch for the TV ratings on the debate; I'll bet it takes a hit with Trump absent.

Again, he proves he can change the "rules of the game", a game that has gotten stale, corrupt, and insulting to citizens. Good for Trump.

This is bad news for Fox. With Trump out of this debate, the ratings will tumble.

When it's a TV network and all of his political running opponents are appearing, yes, he should.

He looks like a spoiled rich kid running scared by dodging the press.

I'm not sure he needs the exposure right now, good or bad. Staying out of the fray and sitting this one out may simply keep him ahead in this game. Can't say it's a bad move.

And for sure she would have taken another stupid, cheap shot. I'll bet that those snarky, bitchy comments from Fox came right from The Princess Herself.

This is a smart, ballsy "Fuck you" move by Trump.

And speaking of "cheap shots", Fox, in partnership with Google, has invited three youtube personalities to ask questions at the debate, including a Muslim activist who is described as an "anti-Trump, Muslim advocate", who has compared Trump to Hitler.

Fox has sunk to a new low, and if I was ANY of the candidates, I would bail out as well.
