Attorney Robert Barnes does a good job framing the motive of the DC administrative state, specifically the Lawfare ideologues currently in control of the DOJ, to create a precedent to usurp constitutional power by targeting President Trump. Apparently, neither of Hunter’s legal settlements was sufficiently newsworthy to make it to New York Time or the Wall Street Journal’s home pages, although the Journal did include an oblique reference to a suggestive editorial hazily and somewhat dismissively titled, “The Hunter Biden Business.” Outside of controlled corporate media, the Hunter settlement story is all anyone can talk about. For example, the conservative National Review called the deal “intentionally provocative:” The NR columnist explained a theory that the Biden Administration has weaponized the DoJ to gin up support for President Trump’s Republican nomination. They prefer to run against Trump instead of against DeSantis. They want us to compare the underwhelming, under-reported, Hunter Biden sweetheart plea deal to Trump’s over-charged, over-reported, relentless prosecutions. It’s all a game to the democrats, who expect Republicans to rally around Trump and hand him the nomination. https://www.coffeeandcovid.com...ack&utm_medium=email There's no question that there's a backlash against the DOJ/FBI over-reach against Donald Trump which helps him in the Republican primary. But the never-Trump National Review makes it out like the DOJ/FBI are evil geniuses who will choose Donald Trump as the Republican candidate. In other words, NR looks down on its' own readers who are all Republican primary voters. They have made themselves the GOPe voice, but their readership has cratered since 2016. “Former special counsel John Durham revealed that FBI agents have apologized to him for their handling of the Trump-Russia probe as he confirmed he saw bias among key officials in charge of the investigation like Peter Strzok. 'I have had any number of FBI agents who I've worked with over the years, some are retired, some are still in place, who have come to me and apologized for the manner in which that investigation was undertaken,' Durham revealed at the top of the high-profile Judiciary hearing. To him, that proved that a majority of the FBI are 'good, hard-working people' who 'swear under their oaths to abide by the law.' 'Our findings are sobering,' said Durham. 'Having spent 40 years plus as a federal prosecutor, they are particularly sobering to me.' …” DailyMail article: https://mol.im/a/12218893 Serious about crackers

Durham: FBI overlooked intel Clinton masterminded plot to smear Trump, treated campaigns differently https://justthenews.com/govern..._campaign=newsletter Former special counsel John Durham testified Wednesday that the FBI overlooked intelligence that Hillary Clinton had approved a plan to smear former President Donald Trump with Russia allegations and treated the two campaigns disparately during the 2016 election. Durham confirmed that the CIA had received intelligence about Clinton approving a plan to make Russia allegations against Trump as a means of distracting from her classified email scandal. The prosecutor said the FBI did not "sufficiently scrutinize information it received" and did not "apply the same standards to allegations it received about the Clinton and Trump campaigns." “The FBI was too willing to accept and use politically funded and uncorroborated opposition research, such as the Steele dossier," he said during the House Judiciary Committee hearing. "The FBI relied on the dossier and FISA applications, knowing there was likely material originating from a political campaign or political opponent." He told the House panel that "it's going to take time to rebuild the public's confidence in the institution" of the FBI after the agency's handling of the so-called Russia collusion probe. Durham, appointed as a Justice Department special counsel in 2020 to investigate the matter, has said there was no evidence of collusion between the 2016 Trump presidential campaign and Russian intelligence officials when the FBI probe was launched. "There were some individuals who clearly expressed a personal bias" against Trump, Durham told the committee, following the release in May of his final report on the now-discredited Russian collusion probe. Under questioning from House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, Durham said former FBI Director Jim Comey withheld a referral memorandum from the agents working the Crossfire Hurricane case that contained information about then-Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's attempts to tie Trump to Russia. The memo contained intelligence from a high-level briefing with Director of the Central Intelligence Agency John Brennan. Durham testified that then-President Obama, then-Vice President Joe Biden and then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch received the same briefing from Brennan. "They kept key intelligence from the investigators. This is how bad this investigation was but here's the scary part: I don't think anything has changed," Jordan said. Tennessee Democratic Rep. Steve Cohen told Durham that his reputation has been "damaged" by accepting the special counsel position to investigate the FBI's handling of the Russia probe. "My concern about my reputation is with the people I respect, my family, and my Lord. And I'm perfectly comfortable with my reputation with them, sir," Durham responded. Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz criticized Durham for not issuing a subpoena to Joseph Mifsud. In response, Durham said Mifsud was not located and is likely overseas and therefore could not be issued a subpoena. Gaetz questioned why Durham's team was able to locate Mifsud's lawyer who turned over two phones but could not locate Mifsud. He asked Durham why he didn't investigate by individuals on Bob Mueller's investigative team wiped almost 30 government phones. "That was not something we were asked to look at and we did not look at," Durham said. In response, Gaetz said Durham was able to investigate Mueller and his team's handling of the Russia collusion probe. _________________________ "Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it." I have heard several conservative attorneys discussing this. They said it's a formality. The judge needs to set a date within 70 days of indictment to qualify as a speedy trial. The defense can (and will) waive the right to a speedy trial and file all kinds of motions that will delay it for many months.

Newt Gingrich laying things out: Hunter Biden just did his part to help decide 2024 election Hunter Biden’s sweetheart plea deal – and protection from typical punishment – will likely become major assets for his father’s most dangerous challenger. Consider that the same Department of Justice that is treating Joe Biden’s son with kid gloves is threatening his biggest political rival with potentially 400 years of jail time. That only accounts for one of four legal assaults designed to engineer the political environment and protect the incumbent president. This stark contrast in the Biden administration’s selective use of the justice system will prove to be astonishingly destructive politically. It will only strengthen former President Donald Trump and weaken President Biden. You must wonder how the Biden loyalists at DOJ thought Hunter Biden’s clearly one-sided, absurd deal would not lead to a massive public backlash. Just ask your friends and neighbors how many of them think they could avoid prison after lying on a federal gun purchasing form (a felony) and then declining to pay more than $100,000 in taxes for two years in a row. For that matter, ask rapper Kodak Black, who pleaded guilty to the same gun charge for which Hunter Biden got probation. In 2019, then-22-year-old Black was sentenced to more than three years in federal prison after pleading guilty to weapons charges. Biden family defenders (and the elite media) have claimed this isn’t a fair comparison because Hunter Biden was a so-called first offender. To quote President Joe Biden "C’mon, man!" Hunter Biden has a long-documented history of illegal drug activity and questionable business dealings. He’s never been prosecuted because his father is a long-serving U.S. Senator-turned-Vice President-turned President. This flimsy defense only clarifies the bias. Further, these so-called personal mistakes by Hunter Biden pale in comparison to the much more serious questions about his professional life. Why did the widow of the Mayor of Moscow send him $3.5 million? Why did Burisma put him on the board when he knows nothing about natural gas or Ukraine? What did he do to earn money from Kazakhstan and Romania? Why did a Chinese oligarch send him a diamond? Why did the Bidens set up so many shell companies if they aren’t trying to hide the flow of foreign money? The personal and the professional issues combine when you ask the simple question: What did Hunter Biden do to have the after-tax income to pay off more than $2 million in taxes and penalties? This leads to the question: What has he been earning out of his supposed art, and who has been paying for it? Overwhelmingly, the American people are coming to believe that there are two systems of justice in America: One to protect Democrats and another to attack their political opponents. President Trump is on the edge of becoming the symbol of Americans being attacked and oppressed by their own government. The proof is the degree to which Americans believe the FBI and the DOJ are corrupt. Even before Trump was indicted, two-thirds of Americans believe the DOJ has been weaponized for political purposes. This will only get worse. Specifically within the Republican electorate, every attack on President Trump or Republicans – and every defense of the Biden family, the Clintons, and other Democrats – will cement the belief that there is an entrenched, biased establishment that must be defeated. This week, Hunter Biden did his share to help Trump become the Republican nominee. Future revelations of Biden family corruption are likely to put Trump back in the White House. _____________ Take heart, my fellow Americans. These Constitution-ignoring commie shitbirds are sealing their own fate. https://twitter.com/tomselliot...ned-under-1000-words The more we learn about the 2020 election, the more undeniable it becomes that Biden owes his “victory” to blatant political corruption. To wit: 1) An IRS probe into the Bidens money laundering payments from hostile nations — the normal outcome of which would have ended his candidacy — was instead given a stand-down order 2) The FBI & IRS wanted to search Biden’s house in September 2020 but were given a stand down order. 3) The @FBI authenticated Hunter’s laptop a year before the NYPost first reported on its contents 4) Rather than use the laptop’s voluminous documentation of myriad felonies to initiate criminal investigations, the FBI hatched a plot to warn social media companies of an imminent “hack & leak” operation of what they heavily suggested was Russian disinformation 5) The FBI used its 2016 Russia collusion probe — which the Durham probe has since proven was essentially an extension of the Clinton campaign — to rationalize its meddling in the 2020 election. 6) The FBI also conducted an influence operation with various reporters at major newspapers to convince them that forthcoming damaging reporting about Biden that they knew was true was in fact not 7) The FBI was spying on Giuliani when he shared the laptop’s contents with the NYPost 8) When the FBI told Twitter & Facebook a Russian disinformation campaign was coming, they had already concluded Russia wasn’t trying to game the election 9) In their attempt to corroborate their own rumor of Russian electoral influence, the FBI became aggressive with its demands for user data from Twitter, eventually getting shutdown for seeking users’ private info without a warrant 10) Nonetheless, in the preceding years, the FBI established a beachhead inside Twitter, with an operations center of former agents who communicated via their own dedicated slack channel. These ex-agents included Jim Baker, the FBI’s former top counsel who played a central role in the FBI’s Trump/Russia scam, as well as Comey’s former chief of staff, Dawn Burton, who started the FBI’s Russia collusion probe. 11) The CIA, in collusion with the Biden campaign, seeded disinformation claiming the laptop was itself Russian disinformation. The major media used this as a pretext to avoid reporting on its contents and instead attack those who were. 12) The FBI also arranged a meeting with Sens. Grassley & Johnson about supposed Russian disinformation & Hunter Biden. 13) The FBI then used this briefing with the senators to justify quashing their own agents’ probe into the Bidens’ corruption. 14) When the story broke mere weeks before the election — one that polling later indicated would have altered enough Democrat votes to send Trump to a second term — Twitter & Facebook orchestrated an unprecedented & anti-democratic mass censorship campaign. 15) When Twitter initially resisted censoring the story, it was Jim Baker who convinced them to do so (despite the FBI having known for a year the informartion was true). 16) In December 2020, after the operation’s success and Biden’s “victory,” the FBI agents working at & with Twitter celebrated the outcome. 17) The FBI subsequently paid Twitter $3.5 million for the staff hours expended on their influence operations. 18) At the time Trump was being impeached for asking Ukraine to investigate Biden’s alleged corruption in Ukraine, the FBI & IRS already knew the Bidens had indeed laundered more than $10 million from Burisma, via fake companies and dozens of bank accounts, while at the same time VP Biden had used U.S. aid as leverage in getting the Ukrainian prosecutor investigating Burisma fired. P.S. And that’s to say nothing of Democrats orchestrating a state-by-state campaign to change voting rules to enable the widespread adoption of voting boxes … Left-wing activist groups, funded in part by Facebook, facilitated the exploitation of these drop-off boxes on behalf of the Democratic Party. That part may not have been illegal since they simply changed the rules, but it’s especially shady since it was done alongside federal health agencies then-knowingly overstating the threat of Covid, which was used as the rationale for the change of rules in the first place. P.P.S. And this is just what we know despite the feds’ best efforts. Imagine how much we don’t. _________________________ "Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it." Mark Twain
