I think that the data, to put it that way, still supports both hypotheses: that it could have been the result of mind-boggling ineptitude, or it could have been deliberate, an inside job.

The one inarguable fact is that ineptitude is on display in either case. If this was a conspiracy, could they have put together a sloppier, more obvious assassination? A "plan" that invites – screams for – suspicion.

A conspiracy involving insiders from the USSS, FBI, CIA, would have been slick.

For that reason, I lean toward random ineptitude.

And I can't wait for the committee to light a big fire under Cheatle's ass.

Cheatle showing up is like a murderer showing up at his victim’s funeral.

Never attribute to malice which can by explained by incompetence.

This quote keeps showing up but it is not always universally applicable. It's not in this case imo.
The Democrats, elites, deep state whatever you want to call them wanted this to happen. Needed it to happen and did everything possible to allow it to happen. Purposeful, intentional incompetence if you will. That alone is malice. Look at the totality of everything they have done to try to get rid of Trump for all these years but nothing worked. This is all they had left. Almost predictable.

These people are unhinged.

This guy needs a visit from… I used to say USSS, but I think I’d rather send Barney Fife.

At a minimum he needs his medical license revoked for instructing how to kill people.

Libs of TikTok, once again, for the win.

IIRC, any threat against a USSS protectee SHOULD BE investigated by the USSS. At least, back when the feds actually did their jobs.

Has anyone seen a picture of a blood, brains, bones and teeth “smear” from near the peak of the roof from where Crooks would have been to get a line of sight on PDJT and where his body came to rest further down the slope of the roof (as where it appears to be positioned in the pics we have seen)?

Such ‘evidence’ may help to resolve the ‘conspiracy’ or ‘ineptitude’ questions that is on a lot of people’s minds.

Such a picture or two could even be slightly blurred so as to be not too ‘graphic’ and ghoulish.

If not as of yet, maybe we’ll see them once some of the ‘crime scene’ photos that were taken (likely 100’s, if not 1,000’s) are shared with Congress and the public.

Yeah, saw that earlier and thought, assuming it's not another one of those bullshit sources, "So he really wasn't roaming around with the rifle as was reported earlier". Sure, we don't know where he hid it, but one logically would think he didn't hide it anywhere except somewhere immediately next to the building.

Hanlon's Razor needs to be re-written after this: "Never attribute to stupidity that which can be adequately explained by MALICE."

Support for the notion that TMC's motivations were more psych than poly. Searches from his cellphone (not sure which of his 2 phones) included "major depressive disorder", and both Trump and Biden and their respective national conventions. Consistent with acting on the first high profile target to present itself, regardless of party affiliation.

Trump shooter Thomas Crooks’ online search history included ‘depressive disorder,’ Trump, Biden, DNC

"BUTLER, Pa. – The Trump rally shooter searched "major depressive disorder" before he nearly killed the former president, FBI director Chris Wray told Congress, according to reports.

Investigators uncovered the medical search on Thomas Matthew Crooks' cellphone, along with the times and dates of the Democratic and Republican national conventions and photos of Trump and President Biden, The New York Times reported. "
