If you need to stay alive, why are you out on a public forum talking around it in circles? Something squirrelly is going on here.

I think the OP got what he needed; a SF “friend” to listen to his story.

Yes, there's only a few now, but I found another SIGforum friend, and I hope we'll have fun discussing mathematics.

I had to request to be extricated from Rotten Washington state for the purpose of staying alive, leaving everything behind except for some of my computers. I have been living in a motel room for over 3 months now.

My geriatric mother thought that she made a medical appointment with her internist in Denton in last October for her "little boy". She did not. Then she coincidentally decided to have elective surgery in early December, with her rehabilitation now being the focus of my 79 year old step-father, who was preoccupied today with driving my senile uncle to a medical appointment in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

I had to turn to SIGforum for help and support. I appreciate the well wishes and intentions posted here. I have also privately thanked for the use of SIGforum for unusual purposes.

I still think that off duty (or retired) LE officer is my best initial option, but I now have an "out" in case that does not work.

You understand.

Is the Queen Wilhelmina Lodge in a good state of affairs these days? That's a rhetorical question of sort.

I live in Washington state in the area you're talking about and would like to know more about what I need to avoid, if you're willing to tell me.
My email is in my profile.

While DrDan and I surely spoke for over an hour, I am still the only one who understands the extreme complexities of the health problems which have been worsening and still developing over a lengthy period of time, mostly being untreated. (DrDan is not a medical doctor, but he is obviously a caring person. I guessed his profession after his first post. I hope to eventually have interesting discussions with DrDan in email.)

What I probably still might be is the help of an off duty paramedic. I'll figure out how to do that on my own, unless someone has suggestions.

It's physical. I've got a cool mind and spirit, that's why I am still alive.

Much progress was finally made today. My gallbladder will be removed by a surgeon who recognizes that is no need for a 5th abdominal ultrasound just to be really sure. But he wants a consultation with a urologist first since I wanted that too. (Note how unusual that is? This is just beginning of repairs to my body.) The surgeon bypassed the urologist's backlog and got me an appointment next Monday, Jan. 8, 2018.

Again, I thank you and everyone else for well wishes. I do not mind jokes since laughter has helped keep me alive. Speculation about my situation is not useful, but understandable. I have answered some questions in email.

And continued thanks to SIGforum management for my unusual use of SIGforum, and I am sorry if my previous topic title was misleading.

Good. Keep at it.
I don't find the urology consult odd since you wanted it.

Check out visiting CRNs, LPNs or RNs. They may be cheaper than hiring an off duty whatever. Just a thought.

I think I typed out half a dozen responses, deleting them all.
My final answer is "probably not."

rh has an issue with Osteopathic medical care in Washington state, and now he is having his gallbladder removed.

Beyond that, I have no clue as to what this tread is about.

I got tired of being hot in South Texas and moved to rural Washington 15 years ago. Medical problems developed. Being medically naive, I went to the wrong places telling the truth of my symptoms using private pay since I did not have health insurance figuring that I would not need insurance. I was not believed by the Socialists in Washington state and was just repeatedly sent medical bills for the same defensive medical tests, which may not have ever been reviewed by my churned PCPs! My suspicions have not been legally discovered yet, but something obviously went wrong there.

Texas doctors cannot understand what I both know with documentation, and additionally suspect happened to me in Washington. There are now two parties here who are interested in being helpful to me. There will now be a third interested party, but none of these people will want to know all of the details.

I still need "outside" help of some sort.
