I think I'd walk... but would I?

List of various prescription meds doctors have tried to push on me:

  • When I was suffering persistent mild depression: Zoloft. Nasty side-effects from that stuff. Cured the problem first with St. John's Wort then, later, regular exercise.
  • Testosterone supplementation for mildly low testosterone. Never mind the increased cancer risk. Solved with a herb that prompts the body to produce its own increased testosterone.
  • One-or-another drug for mildly enlarged prostrate. Those have all kinds of nasty side-effects. Solved with saw palmetto.
  • Statins for lowering my mildly high LDL. Never mind my HDL is high, my triglycerides low, and I've no appreciable plaque build-up.
  • Add a second blood pressure med when my BP climbed. Solved through diet and exercise.

So you'll have to excuse me for not buying it just because "doctors said..."

his moronic mandate is illegal on so many grounds it would be difficult to cover them all in one post.

Joes helpers have worked this pretty well, found a path through OSHA they think will stand the test of the courts. Like Obamacare this is their direction, lucky enough it's no longer Roberts Rule in SCOTUS.

How long will it take to get a stay against his order, and, will companies that want people vaccinated push harder for it in the first 60 days, threatening jobs/insurance coverage loss.

Spouse works for a large company, the legal team has already put out notices to all 11K employees.

They (legal) believe the mandate has a good chance to stand for three reasons, employment by the federal government allows them to do this to fed employees and contractors (1 and 2) and 3 is through OSHA

An excerpt...

1) Requiring vaccinations for all Federal Workers and for Millions of Contractors that do Business with the Federal Government

2) Requiring vaccinations for Health Care workers at Medicare/Medicaid participating health facilities and hospitals

3) Requiring OSHA to develop a rule that requires all employers with 100+ employees to mandate vaccines OR weekly tests for all workers.

The first two items are fairly straightforward and well within the legal reach of the president. We have a few clients that may be impacted by this, but most of the questions from our clients will be about #3.

We anticipate there will be legal challenges to this from both states and private employers. However, it most likely will stand as it is going through OSHA as a safety matter for employees.

That's the path and plan...

I really don't think they care about the legal challenges.

This was designed to give cover to the businesses who have wanted to implement a mandate but didn't want the blowback on them. They can now quickly implement this and it doesn't matter what happens in the courts down the road. You can't really un-do a vaccine once given.

In board rooms across the country the risk management people are telling CEO's to implement mandates ASAP to avoid potential issues with OSHA. Any blowback can now be directed to the federal government, so they are free to act.

Sure, there may be a tiny percentage that fight this, but the vast majority will implement as soon as they practically can - which was the regime's goal all along.

I have 30 years in federal service. I hit my mandatory retirement date at the end of June 2022. Instead, I'll be leaving in 75 days or less, depending on my mood over this clear violation of human rights over a virus that likely has less than a 1% mortality rate which I have already had, have stronger immunity to than someone that is vaccinated, and is treatable without the poison spike. I understand I am one of the lucky ones as I'll be getting full retirement, but still feel for everyone being backed into a corner.

In today's woke corporate culture... I'm afraid so.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

My employer (a hospital), is pretty much over a barrel. OSHA has required the all mask all the time policy and now the vaccine policy. If we don't comply, they cut off the CMS money and we go bankrupt. Hundreds of people out of work and people within a 100 mile radius out of a hospital. Ain't going to happen.

I'm employed by what I would call a small business. I believe we have 80-90 employees total. The owners are against everything Covid, however when the mask mandates and office shut downs went into effect last year in PA they complied due to the fear of fines and all other issues related to it.

I sit here today unsure as to what they will actually do when push comes to shove. I picture this directive going from 100 to 50 then to 25 and so on all in the guise of safety. The company has very few options when the orders are directed towards them. They either comply due to wanting to avoid the fines and or from wanting to avoid legal fee's fighting the order. In all reality they lose either way. We do millions of dollars of work with PHFA, which they could potentially lose depending on how hard they push it.

I am in the fortunate position that I have other options available and have thought of branching out on my own. That won't make the decision any easier for the wife and I to make with 4 kids at home. I'm hoping it doesn't come down to it, however I don't see being able to avoid the issue in the not so certain future.

OMG. The country has gone seriously crazy. LA is fucked.

Not sure where the first video was taken but I want to move there. Warmed my heart that people stood up for what is right, calmly and with respect, and did not let evil win.

What's really scary is not that it's happening, it's that the citizens accept (and encourage?) it.

It's part and parcel of the advancement of the Sheeple State. There's all kinds of things people seem willing to accept to allegedly obtain a bit more safety and security. Social media censorship (and it is censorship regardless of the fact it's not the government doing it), spyware on their phones "for the children," people with "unpopular" views being deplatformed, massive voting irregularities (also ostensibly because of the Wu Flu), and never mind gun control. The list goes on.

The statists are getting away with it due to an ignorant and apathetic public. The public is, in turn, ignorant and apathetic in large part because it's poorly-educated (or not educated at all) and even more-poorly informed.

Our representative republic only works if the electorate is largely educated and informed. That increasingly no longer obtains.
