The average American would not get that. When you get an American to name five countries in Europe you end up with Moscow, and Paris. The American's knowledge of their own history is pretty limited.

I know you didn’t create this data, but this is a perfect example of a agenda driven, false information statistic. These numbers are based on positive tests results/suspected only. Approximately 45% of those that contract he virus don’t even become symptomatic and are likely never even tested. After 1.5 years of this thing being in the wild, there is no WAY only 10% of the US population had it. It’s virtually impossible. The true mortality rate is unknowable because it would require every person to undergo a test and obtain a result. If we are extremely charitable and double the number of people that caught it, mortality drops below 1% before you rule out the obvious falsely reported deaths. I personally think it is far lower than that.

Yes, I agree with you.
I would bet that close to half the population has already had Covid. But there’s no way to know for sure. The author is likely just trying to use indisputable data.

There is one. The numbers across the board start to decline big time, sorta like they have been recently. And as I asked a somewhat mentally impaired moron who lives close me, would it be a big deal if 100 million people tested positive for Covid........if none of them died or ended up in hospitals? And of course his answer...Absolutely, it would be catastrophic. Some people (a whole lotta people actually) are simply too stupid to deal with anymore.

KY Supreme Leader Andy Beshear to hold a Corona briefing today at 4 PM.

My guess is he will threaten to reimpose a mask mandate.

Here in PA We The People finally had enough of King Wolf III’s endless edicts and we stripped him of his power. He now has to go to the PA state legislature instead of acting like a monarch with unlimited power to lockdown and mask the people of this state.

So far we haven’t heard a peep from this asshole Big Grin

The Delta Variant is the BEST news that could possibly crop up. In the history of all infectious diseases, the more virulent the material (whether virus or microbe), the less lethal it is. It's simple math. In addition, b/c the endogenous form of the virus elicits an effective immune response that strongly appears to provide greater protection that any vaccine (see my comments throughout this thread touching upon multivalency as that's been a given from the start), the Delta Variant will provide better global immunity with fewer consequences than the original strain... w/o the need for a vaccine.

What I am amazed at is that it's not difficult to learn how a virus works, how one's immune system functions and how vaccines work.... yet most of the human race can't get off their ass and learn something about a subject that has impacted their lives. Sadly, most people truly are sheep and there's no vaccine for apathy / stupidity.

Yep.
But they've still gotta milk it for all the panic they can, while it lasts...
