It's really unbelievable. They allow vagrants to sleep in the subway. They are only now beginning to clean (disinfect) them... once a day.
If they had shut them down, they would have saved many lives. One thing we know about this CCP virus is that it spreads easily where people are densely populated and enclosed in tight quarters (ships, prisons, nursing homes, subways).

GOP lawmakers want to take Whitmer to court over emergency powers

Now, May 28th.

A lot of people don't know that she was part of the Granholm administration. Ms. G did all kinds of things like this, but they rarely made the media. Whitmer learned well. Much like Granholm she believes she is in charge and the only one who makes decisions in Michigan.

She fails to understand that much like the Federal Government it has three separate but equal branches. Not a King/Queen and everyone else blindly agreeing.

I'd like to hear the suicide rates in this state since this started. Based on the scanner it's 1-2 every 30 minutes in this area. Domestic assaults like I've never heard before. She is hurting as many people as she is saving

One New York doctor claims to have kept hundreds of coronavirus patients out of the hospital with a cocktail of medications.

It’s been criticized as unproven, but now a major hospital in New York is launching a clinical trial based on the treatment, reports CBS2’s Carolyn Gusoff.

In the village of Kiryas Joel in Orange County, Dr. Vladimir Zelenko, a self-described “country doctor,” says a cocktail of medicines keeps his patients alive.

Weeks ago, he recorded this message for President Donald Trump: “I’m seeing tremendous positive results. I haven’t sent any patient to the hospital yet, even though I’ve treated hundreds already.”

Zelenko prescribes the malaria drug hydroxychloroquine but only when two other substances are added, an antibiotic and zinc.

“All the hydroxychloroquine does is open the door and let the zinc in,” said Zelenko, a board-certified family physician.

It’s Zelenko’s combination of meds given early on when people first get sick that makes his protocol unique. He claims of his 400 patients at high risk for severe illness, only two died.

In New York State, though, that’s a Catch-22. To prevent shortages, pharmacists can only dispense hydroxychloroquine for severe hospital-based cases. By then, Zelenko says it’s ineffective.

“There is a very narrow window of opportunity where you can hit this virus hard and early where it makes all the difference,” said Zelenko.

Now science will weigh in. St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn is launching a study using essentially Zelenko’s cocktail. On newly symptomatic patients with underlying conditions, Hydroxychloroquine and zinc will be given to all of them.

Two groups will receive different antibiotics.

Cardiologist Dr. Avni Thakore is the study’s principal investigator.

“What we know about the mechanism of action of the drugs suggests they could be helpful early in the course of a viral infection,” said Thakore. “We know zinc is an anti-viral. We know that hydroxychloroquine can help reduce an immune response that can get out of control. We also know zinc helps the hydroxychloroquine come inside the cell.”

Administered early , rather than as a Hail Mary for the sickest which has had disappointing results, and to protect participants from any increased heart risk that have prompted safety concerns, Thakore notes “we are going to be monitoring their EKG from home.”

In all touted treatments, data is first needed, says cardiologist Dr. Alan Kadish, president of Touro College.

“All drugs have side effects and we don’t want to treat millions of people with a combination that we don’t know is safe and effective,” said Kadish.

xxxxxxxxxxxxx

remember the French doctor Didier Raoult?

what did he say:

Raoult said that 10 of the 2,400 patients he has treated using the drug have died, and recommends it be administered at an early stage of the virus .

Walz in Minnesota extended it to the 19th.

I have two friends who own sports bars/restaurants. This is where the rubber meets the road with these draconian measures. I was visiting with both in the last week. The stress and pressure is visible with both of them. I can't imagine what their feeling is after today's announcement. They can't defy the order or the state will pull their liquor license although it won't matter soon because they will be out of business either way.

One of the two owns a large complex. He has about a 200 site campground, three softball fields, shower houses a wedding venue and several rooms for private parties in addition to the main bar/restaurant. All this requires constant overhead with building and grounds upkeep. He employs over 100 people during the summer months when the campground an ball fields are going. Most of them are laid off. All the governor can offer them is a backhanded "I know these are difficult times" message. He doesn't have the first fucking clue how hard of times it is for these folks. None.

I am 100% convinced this whole thing is complete bullshit. We were told half the population will be infected and 1 million will die. Here in Alabama, 6000 supposedly have it out of 5 million people. A damn far cry from 2.5 million. I personally don’t know a single person that has corona. By the way, hospitals get federal funding for corona patients so guess what... everybody that walks in has the corona. The sheep running around with masks and gloves would make me laugh if it wasn’t so scary how easily people can be controlled and manipulated.

Dr Zelenko has done some great work but he has a home field advantage with the group he has been treating. They are a very tight knit community who listens to him.

Zinc is absolutely key to this. You've just got to get it in the cell. You need something to act as an ionophore to help bring the zinc in. Green Tea extract along with quercetin are almost as good as the prescription stuff and you can get it. You should be careful with the doses of zinc and green tea. I take about 1/2 of the RDA.

The great thing about Dr Zelenko is his patients are all in a dense but small community. Being able to stop the spread in its' tracks is impressive. But the medicines used are not new or sexy and are not patent friendly so big pharma and the mainstream medical community are panning it. NO money in it so it must not be good.

The response is criminal but of course we are too civilized to do anything. Some hot tar and a coating of feathers for some of these career doctorticians would go a long freaking way towards getting some decent action going.

Before anyone gets all hot and bothered, my supplement regimen is for me and my family only and any conversation about it should not be taken as medical advice. I did the research I think our family needed and we are working through it successfully so far. We were already taking Quercetin before this started and finding it could help further was a happy bonus.

My wife is a cancer survivor. I've read way more about this stuff than I ever wanted to. But, it is helpful to find things to support with actual scientific evidence the non-traditional things we are trying

Here is a great study to read. Dry, yep. Boring, yep. Chock full of a couple of very important supplemental things we can all do, yep.

Any one here remember the Hong Kong Flue of 1969. 1,000,000 deaths world wide and around 100,000 in the US.

I lived in Miami then and I don't remember any Media generated panic, no small businesses closed and no orders to stay at home.

Why all the panic this time around.

With the NY Subway system and the many tent cities in Seattle, San Fransisco and Portland, why have we not had mass casualties among the homeless?

Good question - I have not seen any news or info on the impact on the homeless populations.

(CNN)When an outbreak of coronavirus in a Boston homeless shelter prompted officials to do more testing, the results caught them off guard. Of the 146 people who tested positive, all of them were considered asymptomatic.

Then, two weeks ago, the Boston Healthcare for the Homeless Program noticed a small group of people had tested positive for the coronavirus at a shelter in the city's South End. To be safe, they coordinated with the state government to do universal testing of the shelter population over two nights. Out of the nearly 400 guests tested, 146 tested positive for Covid-19, according to O'Connell.

"This caught us unprepared, but the even more surprising finding is we screened all of them, and none had a fever, and very few had other symptoms," O'Connell said.

"All these things we are recommending for social distancing, you can't do that when you walk into a shelter," O'Connell said. "I think it is a real failure on our part, and we need to fix it quickly."

'We need to fix it quickly.' Asymptomatic coronavirus cases at Boston homeless shelter raise red flag

With so many being tested and being found to have COVID-19 with no evidence of illness “Asymptomatic”, should we not start to wonder if this whole crisis is being overblown with false positives?
