I just switched from Valsartan (an Ace-2 inhibitor) back to Norvasc for my HTN, just to be on the safe side. Bit of a bummer since I only went back to Valsartan last month after the Chinese fucked it up a couple of years ago.

Well, we new that it wouldn’t take long for Philadelphia’s new police chief fresh in from Portland, OR to make her mark and thoroughly fuck things up in Philly, so from the proverbial chapter of “What Could Possibly Go Wrong”, sub-chapter titled “What Were They Thinking”, we have this as reported from The Conservative Treehouse - Thunderdome 2020 Begins – Philadelphia Police Will Not Arrest for Burglary or Theft Due to Coronavirus… __________ "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal labotomy."

My wife just reported that the hospital where she works has lifted the fee that they pay to rent a parking space. Since it's Portland, OR, they discourage evil gas-guzzling greenhouse gas emitting vehicles and encourage biking to work or using the train/bus to get to work. Well now someone got a clue and they don't want the staff to be exposed to public transportation and they are no longer charging the staff for a parking spot until this is all over. Hospital staff are encouraged to use private vehicles to commute to and from work to reduce the risk of exposure. Nurses got a questionnaire today asking who is willing to work different departments and who is willing to be called in on a 2-hour notice on days off. Tony. I wonder if City Hall will have a line painted to mark the entire perimeter of Filthydelphia, so when the reprobates get to that line they’ll know to go no further, being the upstanding and lawful model citizens that they are?! __________ "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal labotomy."

They should have taken a tour of downtown Portland to see what a horror show it is before they hired her. Tony. Owner, TonyBen, LLC, Type-07 FFL www.tonybenm14.com (Site under construction). e-mail: tonyben@tonybenm14.com

Work about 40% of my job in malls. Yesterday most stores went from normal hours to 12-6 or 11-7. Today 80% closed, then went to closed for business. One store I was in, Lacoste got the call from corporate while I was in there, assessing repairs needed, lock doors now, leave after disinfecting. The other 60% of work is electrical work in homes. I had Fridge repairman in today, wife cleaned fridge made me cringe. Cabinet guy texted me at 11pm to cancel tomorrow. No one is going to want me in their house. Pretty much unemployed next week. Got OT this week (today is end of week). End of calendar week is currently scheduled, next week tumble weeds. My boss will come up with some work, but that will just mean more chances of exposure for me. Wish I could telecommute. Jesse Sic Semper Tyrannis

I feel for you, I really do. I have had 16 full days of work out of the next 30 days, cancel over the past week. Every day was a high paying day. It completely sucks. In understand why they canceled, but it's still no fun. The largest job a 13 day trip to the Bahamas, they're in Guatamala and can't fly here and back home. I have little bits and maintenance pieces on the management yachts and routine monthly maintenance, but it's not a whole lot as I caught up on all of the should do's over the last 2 months.

And they have the audacity to even try to deny that they (China) are the root cause of these outbreaks. Even going as far as saying we brought it there.

Immunology experts slam government's 'herd immunity' approach to tackling Covid-19 3-15-20 Immunology experts have slammed what they have described as the UK Government's "herd immunity" approach to tackling Covid-19 . Professor Arne Akbar, president of the British Society for Immunology , has written an open letter to the government to voice "significant questions" about the strategy proposed. In his letter, Mr Akbar wrote: "The world faces a huge challenge in light of the SARS-CoV-2 outbreak. "The UK’s public health strategy differs from many other countries, with an aim to build herd immunity to protect the population. "Within the immunology community, we have significant questions about this strategy. The ultimate aim of herd immunity is to stop disease spread and protect the most vulnerable in society. "However, this strategy only works to reduce serious disease if, when building that immunity, vulnerable individuals are protected from becoming ill, for example through social distancing. If not, the consequences could be severe." Additionally, Mr Akbar added there are "many unknowns in how the SARS-CoV-2 virus interacts with the human immune system and how this might play into current scenarios". "For example, we don’t yet know if this novel virus will induce long-term immunity in those affected as other related viruses do not," he wrote. "Therefore, it would be prudent to prevent infection in the first place. More research is urgently needed on this front. "The UK leads the world for the quality of our immunology research. Given our current lack of knowledge on SARS-CoV-2, our community of immunologists have two asks. Firstly, we feel more needs to be done to ensure social distancing to limit the number of COVID-19 cases in the short term, especially for vulnerable members of our communities. "This will enable us to buy time until we understand the virus better and can begin to develop therapeutics.

A misleading headline, as they WILL respond, collect info and IDs and issue paperwork. It would seem just delaying the in person processing. Given how slow the justice system is, I guess this just adds a month or two to the same net effect.
