My 2 cents…

Never really expected Hamas to concede and disarm. The deal was more about getting Egypt and other Arab/muslim countries in the area to buy off on the plan.

Support for Hamas from Iran and their proxies seems to have been pretty much eliminated, and those former supporters are now looking to a more prosperous future once Hamas is gone. Of course they won’t actively participate against their “brothers”, but they won’t be getting in the way and have tacitly “approved” of the elimination.


Only question is whose hands will be destroying Hamas. Israel, Israel with US “assistance”, or some form of private contractor?


Given the way President Trump is doing things this time around, I don’t expect it will be a drawn out process before we have the answers.

Don't mis-interpret what I am saying. I want Hamas gone. But it is a long game. You could wipe every inch of the strip off the map. But that is not going to destroy the terrorists.

So is the plan for Qatar, Turkey, and Egypt to take a primary role in stabilizing Gaza with the US and some Western allies involved in some type of executive capacity responsible for diplomacy and economic pressure points ?

I think Trump will hold BB back as long as he can giving Hamas every chance to follow through with what they agreed to but they won’t ever stop killing. It’s just a short time until Trump stops holding BB back and the IDF turns them into dust.

I hope so. I'm assuming that by waiting and playing footsie with Hamas gives them some political breathing room before and perhaps after they go in to finish the job.

I had guessed that the primary purpose of the October 7 attack was to get other Arabic countries to war on Israel when the Israelis retaliated. That plan failed.

^Absolutely.
They counted on a massive counter attack against Israel following the operation into Gaza.
All they got was Iran getting a bloody nose.

Israel needs to act decisively Now. Once the Multi-National Arab Force aka Human Shields are deployed in Gaza Israel won't be able to attack.

I sound like a broken record (vinyl).

Hamas has had control, including schools, for almost 20 years. The children are educated to hate Israel, the adults that did not support Hamas were killed. There is only a small minority of people in Gaza that are neutral or less.

The Arab countries do not (my opinion) want to bear arms against Hamas - only want to provide police function for a Hamas-free Gaza.

IDF and USA forces will have to destroy the armed Hamas, almost to the last man, before the Arabs will provide “policing”.

US President Donald Trump vetoed an Israeli proposal to shift the yellow line in the Gaza Strip and expand IDF control in response to a serious ceasefire violation by Hamas that resulted in the death of Master Sergeant (Res.) Yona Efraim Feldbaum.

In the aftermath of the incident, Israel had planned for the IDF to assume control of the targeted area, contingent on American approval. However, Trump ultimately blocked the initiative.

The decision raised eyebrows in Israel, particularly as it followed Trump’s own remarks in which he appeared to support a strong Israeli response.

“They killed an Israeli soldier. So the Israelis hit back. And they should hit back,” Trump told reporters on Tuesday night, adding, “If Hamas does not behave, they will be terminated.”

Meanwhile, Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer is expected to fly to Washington next week to meet with senior US administration officials to discuss advancing the initiative.

The Yom Kippur War ended any chance that the surrounding nations would mount or want to be apart of any attack against Israel. After 30-years of loosing had taken its toll both Egypt and Jordan were done with conflict. I saw a recent news article about Israel arming Druze people in Syria. 500 rifles was the figure given along with other equipment and munitions.

For the last two years there have been scores of videos showing large quantities of small arms captured by the IDF from Hamas and Hezbollah. Every time I see those images, I think that Israel now has enough captured rifles to arm every one of its citizens with their choice of either an AR or AK.

Anyone here have any knowledge of that?

I was also wondering if there would be a flood of these captured rifles showing up at gun shows. However, I imagine they are mostly/all fully automatic so that's not likely. Maybe parts kits sans receivers?
