I was a paid on call Firefighter years ago. We had one of those calls one time. Guy found a small fire somewhere in the factory that a friend was the facilities manager at and put it out. Company gave him a small gift and praised him in front of the other workers. So this guy must have thought “little fire, little praise and gift. Bigger fire, bigger accolades”. Well, he started a fire somewhere but it got out of hand too quickly. My department sent all four of our stations in response, mutual aid from surrounding departments both on the fire ground and to man our stations. The perpetrator admitted what he did.
