I'm actually getting scoffed at today by Trump-supporting friends because I refuse to go along with this narrative that Trump fucked up in Helsinki.

I listened to Rush Limbaugh’s opening remarks at 12 noon and he sounds like what I’m thinking that Trump may want to say something here, but if he does the only thing you’re going to see are screaming headlines of BREAKING NEWS:” “Trump admits Russians helped him!” “Trump elected with Russian collusion!” “Trump Presidency now illegitimate!”

I don’t think this guy wants to give these bastards on the Left and in the media ONE GODDAMN INCH and I don’t blame him. He worked his ass off to get where he is and doesn’t want to let these leftists have any way to try and stop that.

Call me a defender or cheerleader, but that’s how I feel today about all this.

I believe the weight of legal authority is that one does not obstruct justice by doing a lawful act, within one’s authority.

Here is one view.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

One aspect of Trump’s modus operandi is that he is a salesman, first, last and always. Salesmen don’t sell by arguing with prospects, customers, nor are they graded, or paid, by being “right,” as long as they make the sale, sometimes termed “winning.” That may not always be a straight forward process.

Gowdy is free to vote no on impeachment, as I suspect he probably will.

He makes for a good soundbite but is swamp to the core.

What exactly are people upset about? I honestly don't have a clue why anyone on the right would be upset at all today.

More people saber rattling about something they know fuck-all about. "Oh really, you'd deal with Putin how?" Just tell em to STFU they have no idea what the purpose of what he said is for. We can only enjoy the show.

While I had a great meeting with NATO, raising vast amounts of money, I had an even better meeting with Vladimir Putin of Russia. Sadly, it is not being reported that way - the Fake News is going Crazy!

Yep. Ever since Hillary handed him his ass in her 2015 hearing, I've known that he is all show and no action. Now that he is on his way out the door, he will not do a single solitary thing. He probably thinks Sessions is doing a great job.

I believe they are all compromised, either with money or knowledge/proof of their vices, or both.

A lot of the dispute has to do with the words used.

Meddle? Interfere? Collude?

It is one thing to assess that Russians were active in or during the election process. It is another to assess that Russians interfered with the election which implies a very significant difference in impact.

Collude? Some professor taking to some supporter resulting in a preposterous dossier. Please!

And that’s the entire content of the article? I looked, and there’s no “read more” button to reveal an actual article, it’s simply a bare statement that only quotes two words and interjects the context. What’s their source? I mean, they’ve been absolutely stellar at accurately presenting everything else he’s said and done so far....

Because President Trump just literally said that in his press conference a couple of minutes ago.

As during the election, I’ll wait to see the entire, unedited clip before making any judgements on what he actually said.
