Check the price of anti perspirant/deodorant. I have no idea why, but it's freaking crazy. I stopped at Walgreens last night to pick up a few things after I left the gym and deodorant was on the list. What has normally cost $3.00 - $4.00 is now $6.50 - $8.00.

It is inflation, or temporary (perhaps years, but still) supply chain shortages price lift?

Lived through the “Peanut Carter” years of high inflation. And had to buy a good used car for work and the interest Bank rate was almost 17%. Fasten your seat belts folks,we are in for a bumpy ride if this 2T spending bill Biden’s is passed.

Something seems off in that article/chart. With the price increases we're seeing inflation is more than 1.8% for 2021.

That article was from Feb 2021. 1.8% was the forecasted rate. That just shows how incredibly bad this administration actually is and how quickly their policies are destroying this country. At that time, the authors of that article couldn't imagine just how catastrophic this administration's policies would be.

The price of fertilizer is insane. In may our soybean blend was 50% more per ton than last year. This October the same blend for wheat went from $320 per ton to $750.

I remember my Dad telling me about buying a house in 1980 and being glad he got a “good” rate on his mortgage.

It was something like 13-14% Eek

Considering most antiperspirants are aluminum-based (utilizing chemicals like aluminum chloride hexahydrate or aluminum zirconium tetrachlorohydrex as their active ingredient), this could be due to the overall shortage/increased cost of aluminum.

Checkout www.Shadowstats.com, their information appears to be more accurate than the information being published by Gov. You really need to visit the site a read his published responses to Congress and the Fed.

Check out Amazon. I just bought a 4 pack of Dove Mens Care Deodorant/Antiperspirant for $13.

My food bills have been steadily increasing over the past 6 months. Gas is up over $1 a gallon higher now than a year ago.

You got that right about building supplies. A $30 sheet of plywood is now $109.

And it’s all planned. Nothing but market manipulation

We pre-buy our propane every year. I call around and get bids from about 5 different shops. One shop owns a half dozen delivery companies, another owns 3 or four. They have been consolidating since we moved here 7 years ago.

Typically we have a price of 1.20 to 1.40 per gallon. In the last four years, one small family outfit has always been the best price with great service. this year the best they could do was meet the big guy's price. I am sticking with them.

This year it was 2.49, if we bought 2x as much as we normally would, otherwise it was 2.79 for pre-buy.

For those who don't own their own tanks in VA, the propane prices are going to be moving up from 4.99 to around 7 bucks a gallon according to our delivery guy.

I ran across this article today.

The flip side to that is that you could put money in the bank and earn 10%.

Earn money?
You "only" lose 7% on your savings plus they tax you on the 10% that is shown as income.

At least you got a free toaster by opening a new account back then. Smile

I went to Sam's Club this morning to pick up 2 scripts I had called in. I was almost out of Tyson's frozen Buffalo Wings at home and went to pick some up. They had them, so I grabbed a bag of them. I looked up at the price and nearly fell over. The regular price for a bag of wings is $17.95......today, the price was $25.95!! That is almost a 50% price increase in less than 2 weeks!! I bought them, but by the time I made it home, I wished that I had just walked on by. This is total BS.
