I've said this before but it bears repeating:

All men need to learn to recognize the Cluster-B personality disorders - Narcissistic, Borderline, Histrionic, and Anti-Social. Men are more commonly Narcs and Anti-Social, while women are more commonly Borderline and Histrionic. But there is a lot of overlap and co-morbidity.

Narcissistic women are extremely manipulative, dramatic, and devaluing. They will tell you exactly what you want to hear in the beginning to catch you, and act like the perfect gf, lover, person, etc. Then the devaluation and drama start - love/hate, hot/cold, breakup/makeup. You go from can't do anything wrong, to can't do anything right. They prey on your weakest points and use them against you. And then you will start finding out the lies, the cheating, and what have you.

If you are lucky you will escape and chalk it up to experience and be the wiser. If you are unlucky, when you leave they will take a scorched earth approach and trash you to everyone they know, file false charges, and generally make your life hell.

Learn to see them quickly, and avoid them at all costs.

Will needs an intervention by close friends and family to get away from this evil woman. Pretending he is OK with the "open relationship" and trying to be "cooler than thou" is clearly not where his heart is, and the internal rage and hurt finally erupted at the Oscars and now may ruin his career.

Huh? I mentioned borderline right there. What about it?

No it's not pop psych, all four are in the DSM5 and they are all understood to be primary attachment disorders.

Whether or not Mrs. Smith actually has one of these disorders is up to a professional to diagnose, but she's showing a lot of signs and tendencies.

My statement stands. Diagnosing conditions from watching a TV show is crazy. The DSM is a joke as well. Maybe we should encourage lay people to diagnose cancer from across the room. I hear dogs can do it.

Smith's early career was a jovial rapper in an era when that genre was built around NY street thug types and West Coast street gang types. Moving over to TV then movies, his wit allowed him to continue the wise-cracking, light-hearted character with a bit more muscle and slightly more attitude. He earned big money, married a hot gal, lived-up the LA life and became an A-list celebrity.

His actions against Chris Rock will cost him. Comedians at all levels are incensed and will bludgeon him for the next decade, he lost a lot of friends in that area. His acting career will be on hiatus, as every studio hits pause, his agent and PR team are likely explaining to him the pathway of a 24-month imagine rehabilitation program. His career MO has been to play only fantasy, sci-fi and comedies; wouldn't be surprised to see him doing some Tyler Perry or Oprah projects as his big studio ostracism plays out.

Diagnosing may be inappropriate, but knowing the signs of those conditions is good knowledge to have, and staying as far away from them as one can is good advice.
