Young people rag on old folks, then one day, the young person wakes up and old person and doesn't make those jokes anymore.

There is enough stuff in Will Smiff's current history to trot out and show the world that he should be yeeted out the air lock, than to have to work so hard to find something back then, that somehow fits todays puzzle.

And I feel the same as some 50-60 year old today, having a picture of them in high school or collage in black face, or wearing a feather in their hair, or some other meaningless woke social justice warrior virtue signaling crap, being shown every 15 minutes, 24x7 for months on end as if there is nothing currently relevant wort pursuing. Cuz, if there isn't, then that old history is about as relevant.

Mostly, because of context.

If it was wrong then, it should have been addressed then. If it were not wrong then, it is only wrong to make it wrong now.

Sorry to have a rant in the middle of your black pantser party.

Of course there is. When there's that much money in a relationship, you're going to set-up a 'charitable' foundation, a trust and a handful of other investment shelters.
I'm sure there's well intentions behind them all but, as we've seen with Bill & Hilary and others, it can also be used for 'other purposes'. Keep in mind, they both were into Scientology for a time, financed a school and various other urban projects.

Now stories are out that the harpy was visibly laughing as her little soldier marched off the stage after defending her “whores honor”. I guess an obvious joke at her expense wasn’t funny but the assault was? Or perhaps her mirth was generated by her total and absolute control over her cuckold?

Oscars producer Will Packer said Thursday on “ABC World News Tonight” that the police wanted to arrest actor Will Smith for slapping comedian Chris Rock

Discussing the Los Angeles police, Packer said, “They were saying, you know, this is battery was the word they use in that moment. They said we will go get him. We are prepared. We’re prepared to get him right now. You can press charges. We can arrest him. They were laying out the options, and as they were talking, Chris was — he was being very dismissive of those options. He was like, ‘No, I’m fine. No, no, no. I’m fine.’ And even to the point where I said, ‘Rock, let them finish.'”

Packer added, “The LAPD officers finished laying out what his options were, and they said, ‘Would you like us to take any action?’ He said, ‘No.'”

The PD does not need victim's consent or agreement to "press charges" if they have probable cause. Same for the prosecutor. The video is probable cause. Chris would not even need to testify at trial because there are more than enough witnesses.

In cases without witnesses where the complainant is the only witness or the PD would not know about the crime if not reported by the victim, then yes, lack of cooperation by the victim leads to a dead end.

Will Smith resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. If it is a hoax, he sure is taking it to the hilt, eh?

I suspect it was a "quit or be fired" moment and if fired they'd take the little statue as well.

Yeah, I figure through his agent and others, he realized the cards were stacked against him, decided to get it done with less damage and humiliation.

Prosecutorial discretion....which is at the root of the violence and general lawlessness happening in many cities. The DA's ultimately can pick & choose whom to charge and which laws to ignore short of heineous felonies and high-profile cases where there's political/community pressure. Even if a local LEO moved to arrest Smith backstage, he would've been out in short time, charges dropped and an apology from the DA, Chief of Police, Mayor, etc... Roll Eyes LA gov at all levels, enjoy rubbing their elbows and buddying up with celebrities.
