Smith being asked to leave and him refusing gives The Academy the cover they need to punish Him.

He’s definitely not presenting next year. They’d be holding him to a standard they created for Weinstein. Not a good look for him. I wouldn’t be surprised if they took back his Oscar.

I've always liked Will Smith, all the way back to his rapper days, but he's looking like big asshole in all of this.

Strange story. He assaulted someone, was asked to leave, refused, and was given an award. Smith was a part of the culture, truly bizarre behavior.

What does it matter if he is removed from " The Academy " or whatever punishment they dream up ? Is it really that big of a deal ? So he'll miss out on some cool parties and swag bags but that's pretty much it , right ?

I’m starting to wonder if his Mr. Nice Guy image was all an act much like Kevin James (The King of Queens guy) who also played Mr. Nice Guy but turned out to be a total asshole in real life.

If he is removed from the Academy then bye bye Oscar. His career will be fucked from here on out. To him and his Hollywood elite wife, yeah that’s a big deal. Both of them whined and cried when he didn’t win before so yeah it’s a big deal to them.

They think they are changing the world and some kind of role models.

Audience Members Yell ‘F**k Will Smith’ During Chris Rock’s First Show After ‘The Slap’

Chris Rock’s standup show in Boston

“Whoa, okay!” Chris Rock, wearing an all-white suit, said through the thunderous applause and standing ovation. “Yo, let me do the show!”

Rock said, “How was your weekend? I don’t have a bunch of shit about what happened, so if you came to hear that, I have a whole show I wrote before this weekend. I’m still kind of processing what happened. So, at some point I’ll talk about that shit. And it will be serious and funny.”

An audience member could be heard chanting, “Fuck Will Smith!” as Rock proceeded with his routine.

“I’m going to tell some jokes. It’s nice to just be out,” he concluded.

Chris Rock ticket sales immediately surged following the incident, jacking prices up to well over $300 in some circumstances, with TickPick revealing that it “sold more tickets to see Chris Rock overnight than we did in the past three months combined.” According to Variety, Ticketmaster reported that Rock’s shows in the Boston area have skyrocketed to over $800.

Original prices started at $49.50, but, in the wake of the shocking incident at the Oscars, they were going for as much as $800 to $8,000 on secondary sites.

I'm guessing Penn wasn't expecting his stunt to be overshadowed by the slap heard round the world. But in case he's still going through with it, I found this on ebay.

Maybe some think those things, but that attitude is hardly universal. My work puts me in contact with a lot of cheaters and cheated-ons, and that is not the dominant view I see.

Oh I agree that is not the view of those directly involved. People involved with those who behave like Mrs. Smith know there is something deeply wrong with their partner, and if they are strong of mind they eventually see through the manipulations and lies and gaslighting. It can take a long time, and some, like Will, seem unable to walk away. Many men live in denial that their wife would or could ever cheat, and do not heed the signs until it is unavoidable.

I am talking more about friends and acquaintances, friends of friends, people that know none of the people involved but just heard the story, media, etc.

Universal? No, but common, and there is a distinct difference in how people react whether the cheater is male or female. Once a pattern of behavior is clear, as with Mrs. Smith, I think people seem them for who they are.

Reports Say Academy ‘Lied’ About Asking Will Smith to Leave

TMZ reports that Will Packer, the show producer, personally told Smith everyone wanted him to stay…

Will Smith was NEVER asked to leave the Oscars after he slapped Chris Rock. In fact, the opposite is true — he was told by the producer of the show he could stay … this according to sources with direct knowledge who were present.

[…]

We’re told there was a split among the officials … some did want him booted, but others did not. There were various discussions during several commercial breaks, but they never reached a consensus.

[…]

We’re told Will was aware there was talk about asking him to leave the theater. During one of the commercial breaks, we’re told Oscars producer Will Packer walked up to Will and said, “We do not want you to leave” … this according to our sources.

Variety is now reporting that “Smith Was Not Formally Asked to Leave Oscars Following Chris Rock Slap:”

Show producer Will Packer, sources inside the Dolby said, was the key to Smith remaining in his seat. In the roughly 30 minutes following Smith’s attack on Rock, before the award for best actor was presented, Packer walked out into the orchestra and conferred with Smith, according to two witnesses. Packer said that he and the production “officially” wanted Smith to stay for the remainder of the show, according to one of the witnesses. Another source close to Packer denied that the producer urged Smith to remain.

This is not just a growing disaster for Will Smith. The Motion Picture Academy is in for its own world of hurt. There will undoubtedly be an investigation and resignations.

And this all comes down to the cancer of woke that has infested Hollywood and the Academy.

The Academy has created this mess for themselves now.

Could they possibly become LESS relevant?

What a bunch of losers.

I love that networks like Daily Wire are creating their own conservative culture away from all the hollyweird wackos. Screw Hollywood and the pedo freaks that play these games.

I like this quote from Nolte in the link:

quote:
Woke has no morality, no principle. Woke is a distorted lens through which you look at the world — not through right and wrong — but skin color. Remember, on The View Monday, Academy Board Member Whoopi Goldberg admitted that skin color guided the decision to allow Smith to stay in his seat
