Oh, for Pete's sake, what makes you think prosecutors can't cross examine? Any good trial lawyer can cross examine.

You should ask Dershowitz, not me.

With the media relentlessly suggesting that the accusations by Blasey Ford were true, less stable and less ethical "witnesses" outed themselves with unlikely claims of assault by Kavanaugh in the distant past.

The widely publicized claim by porn lawyer Michael Avenatti's client Julie Swetnick, that Kavanaugh was a member of a rape gang that operated in sedate Chevy Chase, Maryland, defies common sense. Tucker Carlson demolished it last night.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Yep she basically can fly the world at will but not to Washington to testify until the delay can no longer be made. I wish she would have asked her how she got to Maryland to submit to a polygraph. Bet she couldn't get on that plane fast enough!

Trying very hard to watch this, but jeez this is a frustrating experience. The woman from Maricopa County SO is trying to weave a web, and every time she makes progress in what she’s trying to do, her time is up and you have to listen to one of the Dems tell Ford what a courageous woman she is.

And let's remember who it is that she has to convince:
Jeff Flake, Susan Collins
They are the only two Republicans who seem to be "on the fence".

So I'll agree with JALLEN, that the optics matter.

Ford's body language showed extreme nervousness when the discussion of the polygraph came up. she raised her hand as if she wanted to contribute something but her attorney put her hand down and said "No". There's something there.

That "polygraph" is a joke.

A REAL one takes a while and involves more questions that just two. It's a total sham and she knows it.

And she couldn't figure out how to contact a senator on the judiciary committee?????

A quality education or selective learning ability, I would bet that with her politically active background there has been prior communication with a senator's office.

Dershowitz has a well earned reputation of knowing what he is talking about. We don’t require that in our deliberations here on the Forum. You pay your money and take your chances.
