I think even they are now becoming disgusted by this donkey show by the Democrats. Kavanaugh after all is considered an establishment guy. And they know he has an unimpeachable record and an infallible character. They must be pretty dismayed to see this happening to him. I would hope so anyway

I agree with that. Susan Collins has head threats herself as well as her staff including rape threats. Mitch McConnell should know for sure.

Senate Republicans on Friday extended a counteroffer to Christine Blasey Ford to testify on Capitol Hill next Wednesday, amid negotiations over whether Ford will elaborate on her allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh in public.

Fox News was told that the Republican senators want an answer “by the end of the day.”

“We need to hear from her,” said one senior source familiar with the process. “Monday is the preferred date. But we are open to other things.”

A senior Republican source told Fox News “we can’t postpone forever.”

But Democrats reacted negatively to the offer. California Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, said Ford shouldn’t “be rushed.” She said Ford can’t testify any earlier than Thursday.

“Show some heart,” Feinstein said. “Wait until Dr. Ford feels that she can come before the committee.”

This article argues convincingly that Feinstein should be formally censured by the Senate. That would be the frosting on the cake of Kavanaugh's confirmation. Big Grin

Show some heart, DiFi, let the rest of the country get on with the country's buisness instead of letting some activist academic determine the Senate's schedule according to whatever she arbitrarily decides to "feel" at any given moment.

Oh no. Wait, she can't do it Thursday, not Friday either, how about the following Monday.......and on and on it goes.

At this point Stevie Wonder can see what's really going on.

Good grief. She's had decades to tell her story, now Monday's no good, sorry, not Wednesday either. Let me check my schedule, maybe Thursday or Friday. Certainly lunch and maybe a massage will be required as well.

This! A friend told me this morning that she'd come over and clean my house as soon as Kavanaugh was confirmed. That's like a double bonus! Let's get on with it!! Cool

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

There's approximately 327 million people in the USA (not including all of the Democrat-voting "undocumented workers"), but we'll be "heartless" if we insist someone who is obviously making false accusations is forced to make them publicly 5 days from now. No, six will work, but not 5.

It's the punk seeing how far he can push the other kid. "Just how far can we intimidate this guy?"

No. She feels planes, trains, and automobiles (to include buses) spew too much carbon. She needs to ride a bike, or walk.

Of course she'll need to get in shape first - which can't happen until her go-fund-me page hits at least $1.5M.

I think this whole thing is a delay tactic by the dems to try and postpone a full senate confirmation vote until after the November elections. They're hoping to pick up a couple of seats to negate the thin majority republicans hold.

Someone needs to ask this lying bitch what she thinks about Keith Ellison. Curious to hear her answer.

Get it over with. Stop the drama. VOTE.
