Maybe we should propose background checks for individuals desiring to grow beards longer than one inch? Common sense beard control

You know, this is a joke, but it kind of gets to the heart of the matter. Suppose somebody WAS suspicious when this guy rented the truck. . . Would they have SAID anything to authorities? After all, the msm has people conditioned to keep their mouths shut when muslims act suspicious, for fear of being labeled as 'islamophobic.' The whole 'See Something/Say Something' mantra doesn't apply to people who look like this guy. Fear God and Dread Nought Admiral of the Fleet Sir Jacky Fisher

He lives in Florida, where gun ownership is fairly common, but goes 1100 miles to a place where no one is allowed to have guns for self-defense to do his deed. Will this sink in? .

More money! Solves everything. Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me. When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Good point, but what would they be suspicious of? Does ISIS not believe in home repairs?

Actually just the opposite. Kristoff is NY Times. “Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.” - John Adams

We could cut our anti-terrorism funding to a fraction if we would only do what needs to be done - end Muslim immigration.

Its interesting to see video immediately after the incident. It seems this MF'er didn't quite know what to do after he crashed the truck. He just randomly runs around. I think he assumed he would have been confronted by the police sooner. He was prepared to die. He had no escape plan. He had the ability to harm more people. Imagine if he jumped out with a sword and just started swinging.

Forgive me for not reading back through all of this thread. I imagine this has been covered but,... It blows my mind that this terrorist came to the United States under a program that issued him a “Diversity Immigration Visa.” Legislation passed in 1990, a “lottery makes available 50,000 permanent resident visas annually and aims to diversify the immigrant population in the United States, by selecting applicants from countries with low rates of immigration in the five years prior” (Wikipedia). Of all the useless, ignorant, misguided multicultural bull shit we have been subjected to by Washington leadership—this has to rank at or near the top. And which president, in 1990, signed that legislation into law? The globalist extraordinaire. ________________________________________________________ "Great danger lies in the notion that we can reason with evil." Doug Patton.

This crap is the easiest thing in the world to stop, and prevent. There's just no way to do it that keeps that warm-n-fuzzy feel good sensation up there in the middle of your chest. Things that won't work: gun control, background checks, truck control, background checks for weed whacker rentals, a 4473 requirement for lawnmower rentals, repealing the laws of physics to disallow rapid oxidation of nitrate molecules. Things that will work: Deporting suspected radicalized Muslims, not letting any more into the country, killing radicalized muslims, replacing shithead judges that block travel bans, replacing Democrats with non-rino republicans
