Well, I don't know how they prosecute a dui arrest in California, but in most states I'd say fat chance at that. Once the charge is on the books for dui, it ain't being pleaded down. In a state like New Jersey for instance, no one is having his DUI charge thrown out due the nature of how it is charged. I had a lawyer tell me in Jersey once that the President himself wasn't going to beat a dui rap once he's booked.

They just said on the local news that ol’ Paul got popped for DUI back in 2018 also.

Here in MA we call DUI a "misdefelony" because our state solons, in their wisdom, decided to up the possible punishment to 2 1/2 years. This conviction also makes you a prohibited person to owning firearms in the eye of the Feds because it is punishable for an over 2 year sentence, even though it's a misdemeanor by law.

In states that I am familiar with, DUI number three means prison time.

My daughter got a DWAI and they threw the book at her not even full blown DWI. Cost her $12,000.00 worst part is she was driving someone else's car who was totally shit faced as a favor. Girl's father a county sheriff. He told me he couldn't help us, nice guy.
Moral of story it's not what you did it's who you are.

What is the equivalent of a LEO Flying a cargo plane full of rubber dog shit out of Hong Kong?

Cave how? It's not going away. And the officer at this point has no way to make it go away. This is not how this works. If this were you or me, we'd get the same treatment. Likely no jail time.

The difference is that for someone worth over $100 million, the consequences of a DUI are negligible. For you and me, the consequences are much more life changing, or at least much more onerous.

Never heard of a DWAI. But in any case, what could a county sheriff have done? Again, once you're booked, you're booked. The time to make a DUI go away is before an arrest.

Of course it does not make it truth, but until you offer something different it does. Let"s see the proof. I would think we would see obvious signs if that were the case. We did with Betty Ford, Richard Burton and others who were in the limelight. They claimed Mamie Eisenhower was a drunk, until she disclosed she had Meniere's disease. I am no fan of Pelosi,btw.
