Let see what Ole Nancy has to say.

She won't say a word about it. There's nothing to be gained.

She won't speak to the media about this. She'll speak to people who'll put pressure on the prosecutor to plead down to a lesser charge like failure to use turn signal.

I thought that DUI was a felony, but every news report that I found via Google either states that it's a misdemeanor charge, or does not specify.

He was arrested Saturday night and out on bail Sunday morning. Five thousand. Pocket change for him.

Pretty stupid at his age. Possibly a sign of a bigger problem.

Yup. 5000 bucks is nothing when they’re worth 120 million.

I had to laugh when this news article reminded me of an incident when I was in the Navy. Statue of Limitations has probably long expired, and in any case, the protagonist of the story is no longer alive, so now the story can be told.

Late 1950s, our Regulus missile squadron was based at NAS Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico. Huge base. The "Acey-Duecy" club (for first and second class petty officers) was in a beautiful location, up on a hill top with a great view of the Caribbean. It was a LONG distance from our quarters. There was a shuttle bus that ran around the base. A school bus type thing, painted battleship gray, with "U.S. Navy" stenciled on it.

There were a few of us missile techs who hung out together. We kept a coffee can, and every day when we returned to the barracks in the evening, we would dump our loose pocket change into the can. The day before payday, most of the sailors were broke and there wasn't much business at the club, but our little group would grab the money from the coffee can and spend the evening at the club, playing cards (we usually played bridge) and drinking.

One member of the group -- the only one who later went on to make the Navy a career, retiring as a Lieutenant Commander -- got monumentally drunk on one of those evenings, and decided to take the bus back to the barracks.

Yup, he literally took the bus, while the driver was taking a break inside the club, getting a sandwich, and hitting on one of the female employees.

Michael managed to drive the bus down the winding, curvy road without hitting anything. The bus was found parked on the grass in front of the barracks, and the powers that be never discovered who had done it.

The Pelosi's have a large Vineyard in St Helena. My mother (now deceased) who also lived in St. Helena. My mother and Ms. Pelosi attended the same Catholic church in St Helena (eye roll from my mother who was a Republican). It's a small church so you cant just sneak in without folks knowing your there.

If I had to guess, I'd guess a CHP arrest vs an arrest by the St. Helena PD Or Napa SO but just a guess on my part.

Was he arrested for drunk driving into a body of water with a dead female?

Otherwise his "privilege" can't hold a candle to ol' Teddy.
