Can't say for sure what is motivating the buyers, but I guarantee the majority of buyers are not Democrats or anyone on the Left. They hate Trump and wouldn't be caught dead participating in anything that even has the appearance of helping him or making any idea of his successful. Not to mention they probably think he is personally profiting from this somehow. Their hate far exceeds their greed.

Probably a bit of both, why not, Trump is the penultimate capitalist, stands to reason many of his followers
would be of the same mindset. Some are coin collectors, the ones being sold are legal tender but uncirculated,
and uncirculated coins have more value over the long haul. They might make your great great grandkids some money
or they'll take them and use them for a down payment on a toy...

I for one can't wait for these to hit circulation because I'll get $100 worth to keep in the car and pay Starbucks
baristas with..., after I have my drink in hand first though LOL

FYI: the Trump Dollars are only available from the US Mint, not through commercial banks.

The Mint will sell you a roll of $25 for $61, and a $100 bag for $154.50; currently what was available have sold out. You have to go to the website and sign up for future notifications of availability.

https://www.usmint.gov/semiqui...MASTER_SEMIQDJT.html

The initial production run has sold out; 150,000 rolls of 25 & 50,000 bags of 100; total production run was 8,700,000 $1 coins.

As of the latest monthly mintage report, 16.4 million have so far been struck. How many more will be struck is unknown, but would be based upon demand.

16.4 million units struck thus far. I find it hard to believe this coin will ever go up in value over the long term.

$61 for 25 $1 coins? With zero PM content. Really?

I guess it would be more of a novelty ?

More-or-less my thinking. I'd like to have say...five...as keepsakes but I have no interest in 25.

I'm birthing an idea, but I need to check with Para before saying anything.

The TDS lunatics are now decrying these dollar coins as a Trump grift. They literally believe he is pocketing the profits himself. What a bunch of maroons!
