Probably a bit of both, why not, Trump is the penultimate capitalist, stands to reason many of his followers would be of the same mindset. Some are coin collectors, the ones being sold are legal tender but uncirculated, and uncirculated coins have more value over the long haul. They might make your great great grandkids some money or they'll take them and use them for a down payment on a toy... I for one can't wait for these to hit circulation because I'll get $100 worth to keep in the car and pay Starbucks baristas with..., after I have my drink in hand first though LOL | |||

FYI: the Trump Dollars are only available from the US Mint, not through commercial banks. The Mint will sell you a roll of $25 for $61, and a $100 bag for $154.50; currently what was available have sold out. You have to go to the website and sign up for future notifications of availability. https://www.usmint.gov/semiqui...MASTER_SEMIQDJT.html The initial production run has sold out; 150,000 rolls of 25 & 50,000 bags of 100; total production run was 8,700,000 $1 coins. As of the latest monthly mintage report, 16.4 million have so far been struck. Trump has previously suggested refunds/rebates (DOGE related) and dividends (Tariff related due to economic growth), so this isn't really new, just repackaged. In part he may be daring the Democrats to come out against it, and U.S. 'Citizens', while forcing them to defend all the funding/benefits granted to all the illegal alien invaders at the same time.
