Yes, 'you do need votes to win elections', and last I checked, the majority of voters are supporting (AND voting for!) Trump's preferred/endorsed candidates!

Typically voters support their 'preferred' candidates and/or vote to 'send a message' to the incumbent/establishment candidates in the Primary, but they show up on Election Day to support their political party candidate regardless of any policy differences they 'may' have. Anyone not showing up to vote on Election Day because their guy lost in the Primary wasn't 'really' on our side anyway!

There are two vast swaths of people who've just been told to go pound it up their ass, the Anti-war right and Libertarians, who are of the opinion the only member of congress who is in line with their values was just primaried.

They'll stay home.

At any point until after the election, I feel that feelings don’t mean shit. Pollsters lie to manipulate people’s emotions and try to get them to give up and stay home. I see a lot of the TDS crowd on social media loving Massie. It is, of course, because Massie has opposed Trump. Not that the TDS crowd would like many of Massie's positions otherwise.

Massie himself isn't partially germane to the point I'm making. What is, would be his follows, who are a good cross section of the people who I was talking about back in May. That poll and it's results aren't some outside organization asking those same groups their plans. What this poll shows is effective internal polling of The antiwar right and libertarians. This is not me saying " Here comes the blue wave!" What I am saying is those votes that did get Trump elected as 47, aren't going to be there come 11/3.

Polling is a little broken in this country, but the Massie numbers seem absurd. Right now, it does look like a blue wave. RCP has Democrats taking the senate 53-47. Polymarket has democrats taking the senate 52-48. Pollsmax has democrats taking the House 221-214. It's not looking great. Still, plenty of time for an October surprise. Lots of close races that can still go either way.

For years and years, I have been saying that polls cannot be trusted and I know you've seen some of those comments from me. In this forum, we disregard polling data. It's all bullshit.

In the lead-up to all significant elections, I end up saying the same thing: we'll know the outcome when we see the results, and not before.

When is the last time the media and its pollsters and pundits ever predicted Democrat loses in pre-election reporting.
