You guys have talked about the shortage of Sriracha, and the complete lack of any, company stopped making them.

My local grocer has a lot in stock, get 2 for $5.00, expiration date 1/24.

I wonder if the manufacturer may have cranked out some more.
.

According to this, from 7/28, they are down to 2,000 bottles/hr.
And, "Huy Fong Foods is expecting pepper production to begin increasing next month through November. Tran stated that he is trying his best to keep all of his employees."

I think the Sriracha lovers will be ok. Me, I'm still waiting for Jif to get back on the shelves around here.

BUTTER - It may not be reflected at your local stores yet but I was told this by a stockman that I know that works at the local Wal-Mart about a week ago and there was a story on it last night on our local news saying a nationwide shortage and price increase of 35%-50% was forthcoming.

We use a lot of Land-O-Lakes for cooking and dessert making, and because it freezes well, we will be buying a few extra “1 lb Bricks” in the coming days.

The 12 oz. Squeeze Parkay container has gone up in the past 12 months from $1.29 a unit to 2.98 a unit (purchased last week)and it is not even real butter…..

My SUV has been sitting at the dealer for 5 weeks waiting to get into the shop. The vehicles in front of it are sitting on the lifts waiting for parts.

Was just thinking that. If the inflation numbers/costs to families are ever fleshed out, food, gas, etc., and polling shows a big hit, it'll be time for more covid-style paychecks. Problem solved...? LOL

California will supposedly be issuing "Inflation Relief Checks" in October. Something like $300 / person. Really sounds more like a bribe to vote Democrat in November than anything else.

Haven't been able to find Rice Krispies for ages, and preferred versions of basics like butter, bread and soap are hard to find now, but there are alternatives.
