You must be looking at their walking shoes. They look that way because they have a lot of pronation support for the elderly. If you want snazzy looking NB's take a look at their running shoe line.

The funny thing is that Denver offered him a two-year contract for $7 million this summer, but wasn't willing to cover the difference between that and the $12 million from SF. He rejected it and then went on complaining that no one in the NFL wanted him to play.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

More indications that Nike has stepped in it; I can’t wait to see where they are at the closing bell.

I thought I was done with Nike when they gave Michael Vick an endorsement deal, fresh out of prison.
Now, I am really done.

Make it totally clear to anyone standing at the wrong end that things are going badly for them. If that means sticking all sort of spikes and prongs and blackened bits all over it then so be it. This is not a gun for hanging over the fireplace or sticking in the umbrella stand, it is a gun for going out and making people miserable with." -Douglas Adams

I am not only going to never buy Nike again, but I am destroying my existing Nikes.

You’re probably right. Nike dropped 3% at the open and came back a bit. One analyst says two out of three Nike consumers are under the age of 35 and their deal with Kap won’t hurt them. However, the NFL screwed the pooch by getting in bed with them.

After they came out and made a statement showing support for the IDIOT NFL kneelers last year, I got rid of my Nike stuff (large trash bag full).

I thought of donating it to the homeless shelter/veterans group/ etc.. then though "Why should I do that, it will just mean someone will be walking around advertising Nike's shit."

I went over to a local sport shop and purchased some generic non logo sweat shirts and donated those instead.

Nike can go to hell...

My guess is that Nike's sales and stock price will not be affected by this for more than a few days.

I just don't think many people care that much. There will be a lot of fury from a small minority, but not much actual impact. That small group that will care a lot are not big Nike customers.

I object because Nike is making a political statement and in so doing, legitimizing a lie of distortion to those inclined to believe it. They are legitimizing Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin and countless other illegitimate claims of police brutality. That population inclined to believe those deceptions also think that if there is one case of police brutality -and there have been- then ALL cases of force to comply are also police brutality. If all cases are police brutality then law enforcement is illegitimate. Nike, intentionally or no, legitimizes this fecality by partnering with Kaepernick.

I don't wear Nikes nor do I watch the NFL so my abstinence means nothing.

Kapernick is now a real life Al Bundy.
A former football player who's a legend in his own mind, who now sells shoes.
But at least Al scored four touchdowns in one game.

Nike, now sold exclusively at Dick's Sporting Goods.
