Mayweather in 3 if McGregor doesn't get himself disqualified first.

I'm not watching the fight, but am interested in the $$$.

Regardless of outcome, I heard Mayweather stands to earn $300M and Conner will take home $100M. I don't have a link, but heard it on the radio.

Where do I sign up?

There's a Confidentiality Clause in effect that's intended to prevent disclosure of the details.

But I've seen guesses as high as 400 Million for Mayweather and 125 for McGregor if the PPV targets are hit.

For those who are curious:

Date: Saturday, Aug. 26
Time: 9 p.m. ET (main card)
Location: T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas

And no, they're not getting any of my money to watch. That said I'd like to hear that the Irish Mouth won. LOL

This is the main point.

McGregor is walking into Mayweather's world... and yet may have a shot.

Mayweather walking into McGregor's world would be toast and everybody knows it... especially Mayweather.

Mayweather would be fucked as a sweetheart on prom night. Oh wee, what I wouldn't give to see it happen. My cousin is going to Vegas Friday. He's supposed to bet $10 for McGregor for me. Can't be any worse than the dropping my $10 for the powerball tonight.

I know very little about boxing and MMA but I think it's folly to count out a guy like McGregor. He may not win, but he certainly has a chance. He could land the right punch and it could be over at 16 seconds of the first round. Such a thing is not impossible.

If the PPV numbers are right they'll have multiple fights to keep taking in the cash.

I know little about boxing, as well, but I do know that I despise Floyd Mayweather. He deserves whatever humiliation Conor can deliver, physical or otherwise.

Mayweather has excellent boxing defense. He doesn't really run away, he just kind of isn't where the punches are thrown. He is a very skilled boxer and he's smart. He does have power, but I doubt we'll see it.

My prediction is that the fight will go the distance with Mayweather winning by decision. I don't anticipate an overly exciting exchange, but I do think it'll be a great example of technical boxing in a boxing match.

McGregor talks a great game. The guy has confidence! He's just planning a different kind of fight than what I think will happen. He's going for a decisive win whereas Mayweather is going for a win regardless of how it is achieved.

I think this is exactly correct. Mayweather will out-defend McGregor. No one is a better defensive fighter than Mayweather. And he will hit McGregor a lot with jabs. Mayweather may get lucky and get some power in later rounds, and could knock McGregor out.

For McGregor to win, I think he has to get somewhat lucky and hit Mayweather hard two or three times in one round and knock him out. Mayweather won't get drawn into a brawl.

If it is a boxing match, Mayweather wins in a walk.

I think the same way except it applies to mcgregor as well. The ideal outcome for me would be they both beat the living crap out of each other for the entire match and then they both get disqualified for something in the final minute.

You mean like every Floyd fight.

He's the biggest con man since P.T. Barnum. He is always involved in super boring fights and continues to swindle people into paying for them.

His carear is basically Olympic boxing, which no one watches because it's also boring.

He is the best there's ever been at pitter patter point boxing.

that wouldn't be a great comparison. that seems more like a Karate guy fighting a boxer in MMA

Shear the sheep, don't slaughter it. If Mayweather wins the rematch wouldn't draw nearly as much interest if MacGregor wins, especially if it was by knockout. One thing Mayweather loves more than his record is money. A rematch might put Mayweather into billionaire territory.

A real win here would be for either one to be knocked out because they both deserve it.

This in spades! Mayweather always takes fights he knows he'll win. He either outclasses them, the opponent isn't healthy, and/or past their prime (Pacquiao anyone?) Negotiations always fail (particularly from Floyds camp) when he is given an opponent that is as quick, hits harder, and healthy. The guy also has a bad habit of dancing around the ring to force the pace and "wins" by decision after the most boring exchanges I've had the displeasure of watching. The unorthodox style from McGregor+being a southpaw= a pretty good chance for Conor to knock the ever loving piss outta Mayweather.

As a sport, boxing is done! The UFC offers so much more excitement with spectacular KO's, rear-naked-chokes, and flying superman punches/knees.
Either way, come Saturday night, Conor McGregor will be a rich dude regardless of the outcome. All because of one fight!
