McGregor has power, and is a great MMA fighter. But is untested with the heavier boxing gloves. He is fast. He is unorthodox. He is tough. If this was anything other than a boxing match, I would be betting on him.

Mayweather has excellent boxing defense. He doesn't really run away, he just kind of isn't where the punches are thrown. He is a very skilled boxer and he's smart. He does have power, but I doubt we'll see it.

My prediction is that the fight will go the distance with Mayweather winning by decision. I don't anticipate an overly exciting exchange, but I do think it'll be a great example of technical boxing in a boxing match.

McGregor talks a great game. The guy has confidence! He's just planning a different kind of fight than what I think will happen. He's going for a decisive win whereas Mayweather is going for a win regardless of how it is achieved.

Dana White knows how to make money by hyping up fights. I don't like Connor and I never watch boxing so I dont care for Mayweather. Connor is just one of those trash talking guys who makes you want to punch him in the mouth but you know better than to try.

Rumor is that Conor is over-weight. If so, that doesn't bode well for him.

Haha, seriously, there's not a chance that he wins.

What odds are you offering, my friend?

Three to one?

How about just to make it more interesting for us, we just bet $5. I don't want the 3:1 odds from you.

My most sincere wish is for Mayweather to get his head knocked clean off his fucking shoulders after taking 10 rounds of abuse.

I'd be perfectly fine with this outcome.

MMA uses 4-6oz gloves, boxing (IIRC) goes 8-10oz gloves (for guys this size) usually. I think McGregor goaded Floyd into agreeing to 8oz gloves, I doubt Mayweather really want McGregor using lighter gloves.

How much difference it will make, I don't know, but McGregor hits HARD & would probably only need to land a couple of good punches. That's the real question though. Can Conor land anything?

^^^ I think that's right. Mayweather is a great defensive boxer. If he wins, it will be in a decision.

I'd love to see McGregor punch him out, just knock the snot out of him.

I'm game.

Frankly, I won't be upset if you win. I'd love to see McGregor win.

Vegas is shitting bricks.

If Mcgregor wins it will cost them millions in payouts.

The MMA croud is betting Mcgregor and there is no money coming in to balance the spread.

Again, I bet the HugFest 2017 predictions are most accurate. Vegas wins, the fighters get paid and neither gets hurt, Floyd wins decision, McGregor is still a great MMA fighter, and together they milked everyone else for millions, with an emphasis on Entertainment.

Not that it's a setup, strictly speaking, but that seems the most likely outcome.

I will be incredibly surprised if either knocks the other out, or MacGregor wins at all, and not because of their skills, but it just seems too unlikely.

Not much longer now.

I don't really care who wins. But McGregor could give lessons on smack talk. Guy makes me laugh!

You know. I take that back. I hope Mayweather gets KO'ed and has to sell his Bugatti's to pay the tax man.

This whole thing reminds me of the movie The Great White Hype, which coincidentally was on TV just the other day.

I want to see McGregor make his intro into the arena with a couple of midgets dressed like leprechauns leading the way tossing lucky charms into the crowd, all while "Danny Boy" is blasting out of the speakers.

The video where he's at a press conference with the mma champ in Brazil and he reaches over and snatches his belt and is taunting the shit out of him while they are holding them back is absolutely priceless

I was thinking of those kangaroo vs human matches. Like something from the circus, more so than a regular fight.
