A tsunami of trash talk. I don't particularly care about this fight, but this is entertaining.

I find McGregor to be ceaselessly entertaining. Dude has confidence, that's for sure, and is not afraid to put his arse behind his claims!

There is a very entertaining montage of all his shit talking before fights and then they show a clip of him steam rolling these guys. He truly is a world class trash talker/fighter. I hope he steam rolls that woman beating pos Mayweather

I am the farthest thing from a fan of boxing or UFC but I have to say I have thoroughly enjoyed the back and forth leading up to this fight particularly McGregor.
Not sure McGregor has what it takes to win a boxing match but I sure would love to see it happen.

The whole build up to this fight is really the main attraction. It's been pretty great.

I give McGregor no real shot, but he has certainly done his part in selling this event.

I love Conor Mcgregor's persona, for what he does. I'm not sure that in a boxing match, he's got what it takes to beat Mayweather. That said, I'm really hoping he beats the F outta Floyd. The funny thing is, Floyd KNOWS that outside of the confines of proper boxing rules, Conor would absolutely demolish him, in an all out brawl.

McGregor has an iron jaw and knows how to take a beating. He's a southpaw with tons of power and while not a professional boxer by trade, he is very capable in the octagon against some of the best strikers in the business. He won't have to focus on someone trying to get the fight down on the mat, or kicking his legs, or have to watch out for a spinning back fist. His footwork is very good and he knows how to move and defend properly against fast/heavy hands.

Contrast that with Mayweather who is shit against lefties, thinks he's just gonna walk in and pummel Conor, which he may well do, but I think a lot of people are discounting Conor just because they think so little of MMA. Also, this guy hasn't had a real fight since Canelo Alvarez in 2013. He's surely the better technical boxer but his body has seen better days. I feel he won't have the speed that he's used to. I think we will see him doing a lot of dancing to make up for the lack of ability that he once had.

I have to say that even if McGregor loses, he wins. Making a showing against a great boxer in the boxing ring will do a lot for his fan base. Would Mayweather be able to put up with any of the fury Conor would unleash in the octagon? The only conversation that we would be seeing, is whether Mayweather would know who he is after the epic ass whipping he truly deserves.

I will say that Mayweather truly looks sad because he has found someone better at trash talk than he is.

FLOYD MAYWEATHER CONOR MCGREGOR
Born United States Ireland
Age 40 28
Height 5'8" 5'9"
Weight 151 lbs. 154 lbs.
Reach 72" 74"

Surprised to see that McGregor has 2 inches reach on him. Lefty & age are also nice for him to have, and Mayweather is more of a defensive technician but McGregor better have a jaw of absolute iron to have a chance.

Boxing needs to be turned upside-down, but I don't see McGregor having the training and patience to overcome Mayweather outclassing and punishing McGregor with counters all night long.

I hope he wins, but have my doubts. Mayweather would surely be destroyed in the octagon or on the street. The limited rules of boxing is the only chance he has.

I'll be unimpressed in either case unless it's a excellent fight. Some hug fest that ends in a boring decision will be a total let down. One of them needs to knock the other fucker out.

Here's my prediction:

Boring ass fight that goes the distance with Connor frustratingly punching at air and Mayweather backpedaling his way to victory.

In all likelihood, McGregor gets knocked out, or Floyd dances circles around him the whole time and wins on scoring.

I hope this isn't the case. Can't stand Floyd. Manny fought him and he ran away the whole fight. This was after running away from the fight that should have taken place 5 years earlier, but Floyd was scared. I don't watch the octagon stuff but I hope this guy puts Floyd on his ass.
