If they can't make a law that being in the state while being in the country is illegal, then the states shouldn't be able to make gun laws because of the second amendment, it's federal jurisdiction. Throw out all state gun laws, or allow states to also make illegal things under federal law also illegal under state law.

Really? How about fences; fire hoses, and enforcing immigration law? Throw in more agents who's sole job is to arrest and deport people. Force people to apply for asylum at official entry points and only at their first destination outside of their home country.

Problem solved and no one needs to get shot.

Yeah, Skins, really. It’s what Governor DeSantis proposed to do if he were president. It’s what any sensible nation would do. Warning shots could be fired first. When you get right down to it, if they did it that way, I don't imagine anybody would end up getting shot because there would be no one to shoot. But, if they insist, if they think we're bluffing, well, there's always that one asshole...

I say we do the enforcing the border thing first. If that doesn't work then maybe you escalate. I don't want lead flying until we've at least tried. I'm not talking about with Trump against the government type of try. Actually try as a country to protect our border. That means enforcing the law at the border, the obvious methods such as wall, increased enforcement, proper application of already written employment law plus enhanced efforts. Make it difficult as hell to live here illegally.

If all else fails then take some shots over their heads, but it's my conjecture that if you make it hard to get here; hard live here illegally;and hard to send money home. Then and only then will the people still trying in the dead of night clandestinely are probably in need of shooting.

Just understand that any president that oversees gunfire as the first or 17th deterrent will be a one or less term president.

The fact we allow someone here illegally to work and purchase a portion of our country infuriates me. Fill out the fucking paperwork and wait your fucking turn in line.

If it makes you feel any better, lives would definitely be saved by using lethal force because they’d immediately stop coming, thus preventing the deaths on the way here. And Trump doesn’t have to worry about being just a one term president.

I believe that the complicity of the Mexican government constitutes an act of war. Mine the border to the extent that it makes the Korean DMZ look like a garden path. Place sensors that detect underground tunnelling. Create a 250 yard buffer zone that is free fire and patrolled on foot and vehicle and covered by armed drones.
We have the ability and resources to stop 99% of this insanity, just not the will and determination to accomplish it.
And we wont have to shoot lots of people. Once we establish the free fire zone and use it, everyone will get the message.
