What's the point of punching a man who is wearing a football helmet and face mask?

Yeah, I don't believe there was much thought to it.

Prolly a desire for "respect" or some such notion.

Although I think he didn't get it.

I have had more fun following the NFL this year than any previous year when I actually watched it. Not sure who even played this past Sunday. After Church I took a nap and then went shooting with my youngest daughter, after checking SIGforum. Yeah, I won a karma Sunday.

Life is good with the extra time I have without the NFL. Smile

I just saw a headline that Richard Sherman is done for the year. I'm sure the boycott is hurting ratings, but all the stars on injured reserve can't be helping them.

I believe it was GQ that whined that Trump had demanded the death penalty for the NY attacker but not for the Texas murderer, obviously biased about Muslims, easy on Baptists.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

I hope people who still support the NFL realize just how disgusting that organization is. Read an article this AM about the compensation Goodell was looking for. Fifty million, lifetime private jet, and lifetime medical insurance for his family. I wish they would just stop playing the national anthem at those games all together. They don't deserve to hear it. All the organization keeps doing is flipping Americans the bird.

Hey leave him alone...he's suing the NFL over his right to work as a football player! Times are hard. I wonder if other washed up QB's will join with him and make it a class action....

I can see it now - And here comes Green Bay's starting QB...Trent Dilfer.

Right up there with Stephen Colbert.... Roll Eyes

Colin Kaepernick is GQ's Citizen of the Year. While Kap maintains his silent protest, he collaborated with GQ on a special project: a wide-ranging series of interviews with ten of his closest confidants and supporters—including rapper J. Cole, filmmaker Ava DuVernay, legendary artist Harry Belafonte, and more. Together, they explore Colin Kaepernick's actions, provide insight into his world right now, and explain why there's more work to be done.

Stephen Colbert is GQ’s Bad Hombre of the Year. Our nation’s “ombudsman of late night” dug deep with us on the notably terrible 2017 we’ve had, the potential ripple effect of Donald Trump’s presidency, his role as an interviewer, and what makes a bad guest (looking at you, Mr. President).
