Also, some are saying he used the freight elevator, MGM made the statement, "customers are not allowed to use the freight elevator."

A similar event happened at the home of the San Bernardino terrorists, which was completely wrapped up in crime-scene tape, where the landlord opened the door to let in a swarm of journalists not too long after the attack.

I thought then, how the fuck does that happen?!

The 'theory' on this is that it was just a group of wacky pranksters who evaded FBI and state law enforcement to break into the home, do nothing once inside, and then disappear?

Must be the same geniuses trying to establish a timeline.

As someone once said: Big floppy clown shoes.

Tomorrow they will break in again, and take a bunch of stuff.

Then the next day, they will break in again and bring it all back.

Maybe they have the video from all these cameras that cover every square inch of every hotel and casino in Las Vegas. Maybe they will break in and return that!

a very controversial story coming out of ABC

they are reporting MGM security did not report the initial shooting at the guard and maintenance worker to the police

ABC says they have several sources that it was not called in to police. There are audio recordings of the maintenance worker talking to MGM security and telling them someone is shooting down the hall on the 32nd floor.

You can hear gun fire on the call from the maintenance worker.

An ABC reporter on the video asks Assistant Sheriff Roberts if there was a call and Roberts says they may have been in the "process of creating that event but it didn't quite get out to everybody".

ABC says the MGM spokesperson would not comment on this story.

Mandalay Bay staff did not call Las Vegas police until after Stephen Paddock had already begun firing on the concertgoers, according to "World News Tonight" on ABC.

Their information comes from an anonymous source who has reviewed records from the hotel-casino.

According to the report, Mandalay Bay staff did not call police when security guard Jesus Campos reported internally that someone was shooting on the 32nd floor. Nor did they call police when building engineer Stephen Schuck also reported internally that someone was firing at him on the 32nd floor.

About six minutes after shots were fired inside the hotel, Paddock began firing outside at the crowd, according to Sheriff Joe Lombardo.

Las Vegas police say they'll have an updated and more complete timeline on Friday.

Las Vegas (KTNV) - UPDATE: MGM Resorts Spokesperson Debra DeShong issued the following statement today: "As law enforcement has confirmed, the shooter was accompanied by a bellman on two occasions in a service elevator along with his luggage. It is not a special perk and guests do request to remain with their bags, and they may be taken to their room via the service elevator.”

We're learning more today about why Stephen Paddock chose Mandalay Bay.

Sources being briefed on the investigation confirm Paddock had access to and used Mandalay Bay's service elevator in the days leading up to the attack.

Use of the service elevator there is a perk for high-rollers, which not every casino company allows.

At Mandalay Bay, Paddock knew the hotel, the location of the service elevators and how private they are.

We're also learning investigators believe it's clear from room modifications, like jamming of doors in Paddock's suite--that he was preparing for some sort of extended siege.

As for the changing timeline involving Security Officer Jesus Campos, ABC News is reporting Las Vegas Metropolitan Police allowed Campos to leave town after talking to him.

The FBI realized there was something up with the timeline and brought him back to be re-interviewed.

The FBI insisted the sheriff make it public, but sources say the sheriff was reluctant.

However, in a press conference on Friday, October 6, Undersheriff Kevin McMahill seemed to let it slip.

"The question is was he--was the security officer shot before the suspect was shooting into the crowd. The answer to that is yes, we believe he was shot--I'm sorry--that we believe that he was shooting into the crowd and then the security officer was shot during that event."

As of Monday, Sheriff Joe Lombardo confirmed Campos was shot first.

That was Metro's first official announcement about the inaccurate timeline.

Many have pointed questions about that and about how quickly police were notified by Mandalay Bay that they had a security officer shot.

Regarding the above story, I have been in situations at work around incredibly stupid and irresponsible people. Something happens and they should be calling 911 but instead do a policy dance and want to notify their supervisor and then that person wants to call their supervisor and so on. Sounds like they wasted a metric ton of time internally and I assume the crap is going to be royally hitting the fan.
