AP, LA Times, etc. are reporting that the Las Vegas shooter's girlfriend has arrived back in US and was met by federal agents at LAX.

My theory on why the gunman had so many guns: he knew he was on a one-way mission and wanted all of his favorite shooters with him. After all, many were Sigs. This message has been edited. Last edited by: kkina,

I doubt it will have that effect. These arrogant twats think themselves too superior in breeding and intellect to even be discommoded by their inferiors. Her friends, if they noticed the flaming impact of her career, dismissed it as a chance event, just like the young lioness killed trying to take an elderly, crippled Impala. Oh, look, the petition has broken the "glass ceiling" of 10,000. I think we deserve a reward- a shopping spree at Neiman Marcus and then the rest of the day at the spa! After all, that's how precious would handle it. PS- all you filthy gun-toting Republican country music lovers deserve to die.

Somewhat interesting opinion from the Washington Post in which a previously pro gun control researcher changed her mind about gun control actually based on research . Sheriff says Paddock might have been "radicalized." http://dailycaller.com/2017/10...ve-been-radicalized/ Meanwhile, ISIS doubled down on their claim that Paddock was a jihadi, identifying him as "Abu Abd al-Bar al-Amriki." ______________________________________________________ "You get much farther with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone."

https://www.nbcnews.com/storyl...-u-s-sources-n807331 Marilou Danley, the girlfriend of the gunman who opened fire on concert-goers in Las Vegas Sunday, arrived back in the United States late Tuesday, multiple law enforcement sources familiar with the investigation said. Danley, 62, who lived with Stephen Paddock, arrived at Los Angeles International Airport on a flight from the Philippines. Danley was escorted by FBI agents. Investigators believe Danley, who had traveled to Hong Kong on Sept. 25, could fill in some of the blanks as to why Paddock assembled an arsenal of guns and opened fire on a crowd, killing 58 people and injuring hundreds more. "We anticipate some information from her shortly," Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo said earlier Tuesday. "She is currently a person of interest." ***************** seems to be several diff versions of her travels There were reports she was in Tokyo, then the Phillipines, and this report says Hong Kong.

Umm, no: He said nothing. Those words mean nothing. He said he wants to understand the guy's motivation. Well, no shit, Sherlock. You're the sheriff. But don't tell us what you want. Tell us what you know. And he told us nothing. There's a reason for that- he knows nothing about the guy's motivation. The shooter sent his girlfriend on a trip because he needed her out of the way. Would he go to Vegas under normal circumstances without his girlfriend? Of course not, but if she was out of the country... Also, he wanted to give her money. Is he going to strap 100K to her body and see if she can make it through customs? Of course not. He wired it to her once she was overseas. There's nothing complicated about any of this, it seems to me. He was insane and wanted to kill as many people as possible before he killed himself, and leave his mark on the world in the process. But no, we get "WAS HE RADICALIZED??" and questions about his political leanings, in the face of a complete lack of any such evidence. Come on Oh, ISIS claimed responsibility? Yeah, that makes sense, if you were born yesterday.

He did himself, revolver in the mouth. Possibly shortly after hotel security tried to enter the room (security took shot to the leg for the effort). Asshole thought the game was up, and did himself. Sorry.... I just thought it shows he did, in fact, commit suicide. "Some things are apparent. Rule #1: Use enough gun |
Country music's John Rich gave his gun to a police officer during Las Vegas shooting http://www.foxnews.com/enterta...-vegas-shooting.html John Rich, of Big & Rich, performed at the Route 91 Harvest Festival shortly before shots rang out at the show. The country star was hanging out at the Redneck Riveria bar, which he owns, after his performance when the crowd at the festival was barraged with bullets. The gun owner gave his weapon to an off-duty police officer. Rich told Fox News on Monday, "I had a Minneapolis police officer off-duty hanging out. He came up to me and he showed me his badge and he says, 'I'm officer... and I am not armed for the first time ever I can't believe it. Are you armed? I said, 'Yes sir, I am armed.' I have my concealed weapons permit and I said, 'Yes, I am armed.' He said, 'Can I have your firearm so I can hold point on this front door?'" Rich desribed the scene at his bar. "So, I handed over my firearm to him and everybody got behind him for about two hours without flinching this guy kept a point on that front door just in case somebody came through," Rich recalled. The singer said Sunday evening's tragedy was "an attack on America." The deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history left at least 59 dead and more than 520 people injured after a gunman opened fire on crowd of 22,000 concertgoers. The 64-year-old shooter attacked the crowd from his hotel room at the Mandalay Bay overlooking the show. When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are undisturbed. I'll do a lot of things, but that's not one of them. If I have extra, sure, but I'm not handing over my one and only unless I'm incapacitated or otherwise unable to use it myself.

Yeah... I think it'd be a difficult decision, but, knowing that many cops aren't trained any better than am I, and many don't get as much trigger time as I... I dunno. Well, the off duty cop did show credentials. In the event there was a shooting at the bar doorway, why not let the off duty cop share the brunt of any legal ramifications? Yes, it could flow back to the bar & gun owner. Of course there would be confusion as events unfolded. I still think an intruder with ill intentions at this bar is a low likelihood probability.
