What gnut629 didn't tell you is that he is smoking all 3 of those at the same time! Big Grin

Thanks for the Andalusian Bull reminder. Yes, I'd like to be in that Karma. Appreciate the opportunity.

John,

Now that would have been a flavor bomb. Had a great 50th bday party (really all weekend) and enjoyed some good smokes with some good friends.

Great luck on the karma.

Thanks Jay. The bull? Great experience. It's a heavy cigar, with an oily wrapper. I found it to have a good blend of spice countered with cocoa, nuttiness and some fruit blend. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Took more than two hours to smoke it so it is a commitment.

Sounds like a good smoke, how was the pepper? LFD loves their pepper.

I just got the smoker going for cilantro lime chicken fajitas. All the moms are here this evening.

This TAA is a damn good smoke, I can see why it was hyped up. My only complaint is this one will not burn straight no matter what I do.

Jay, the Bull has much less pepper than other LFD's. What spices were there were minimal but mixed in well with the cedar, cocoa and fruitiness. Most of it I got on the retro hale.

Tonight, the hammer. Nirvana lol, so damned good.

Yeah I'm a fan, of the CH TAA I bought 1/2 box, I'll buy another 10 soon. I've only had two and one had minor burn issues, but not bad enough to keep me from enjoying them. Medium bodied with good complexity is right in my wheel house.

John, that Crux is a great smoke. I was able to grab some from Small Batch. I know it's the product your club owners have. Fantastic job on their part and should be proud.

My JGs came in today, beautiful box, flawless smokes and presentation. The wrappers are very sparkly and seamless. They smelled like a box of chocolates when I opened it. Cant wait to smoke one. Trying out a macanudo 1997 maduro. So far is incredibly mild, no draw or burn issues, some similiar flavors to their new maduro, but more subtle. Some hay, nuts and a mineral twang so far. None of the familiar broadlead flavors, retro has kind of a cocoa flavor with the smallest hint of pepper. I could see smoking these with a cup of coffee.

Some of you may know that I was able to get a box of the Andalusian Bull a couple month's ago, CI's 2016 #1 cigar.

I have not tried one yet, but I would like to karma one off to what I know will be a worthy recipient. My daughter will draw the winner from a hat/jar on Sunday. I plan to smoke my first this Friday as part of my 50th birthday smokes. Great luck to all that wish to participate.

Gerry

Thank you Gerry! I'll send an email shortly.

Smoked a Padron serie 1926 yesterday. When I lit it and at another point when I came back to it after setting it down, it almost smelled like a cigarette. I didn't pick up on anything cigarettesque as I was smoking it, but it almost had that "smell". Typical Padron though, a dry and very flavorful smoke. Nuts, cedar, and almost a dry woodsy (as in a dry forest) notes. Boy, do they make great cigars!

Let's talk Umbagog. Steve Saka's Dunbarton Trust everyday cigar. Suppose to have the same connecticut broadleaf wrapper as the much higher-end Mi Querida, but because the wrapper has a tendency to be ugly and have blemishes, not all leaves qualify for the MQ. Named after his favorite lake to fish.

Reported to be milder than MQ with notes of black pepper, dark chocolate, charred wood, walnuts, brown sugar and molasses. Sounds like something I would like.
