Others have posted vids of other teams doing the same thing, and being called the same way. As an Avs fan we've been on the other side of these calls for a few years now. In my mind as I have watched this game touching the puck and controlling the puck are two different things. On a delayed penalty the whistle isn't blown when you touch the puck. Its blow when you control the puck. Was Makar touching the puck until tag up? No. He intercepted the zone clear and directed the puck back toward the opposing teams zone. Was he in control of the puck at that time? Yes. I think it should have been called offsides. But, like I said the Av's have been on the other side of these calls many times in the past so I'm delighted one went our way for a change. Hypocritical? Yup. That's sports.

Yeah that was off sides and should have not been a goal. But dang where was the D for the Av's?!?! put up seven goals and then have to get a empty netter to avoid OT is just crazy. I expect no D from Edmonton but the Av's are better than that. Actually I felt it was a ugly game to watch. It was fun for a little while but when NHL'ers start scoring like the Bantams meh, not for me. Hopefully that's out of their system and they get back to playing hockey.

The best two goalies in the world are playing in the East right now but the Rangers put up six on Vasilesky last night too.

That was the worst defensive game I've seen them play all year long. Manson is struggling because his partner Girard is out. Anyone paired with Jack Johnson instantly gets worse. Hell, even Makar allowed a cross slot pass for a goal. It looks like our starting goalie is still having eye problems, and may or may not return. Shouldn't be a problem for this series our back up is one of the better one's. You're right about the goalies in the east. Best in the world right now.

Much better game last night. Edmonton lost that game in the span of 2 minutes. The Av's are just lethal. McDavid has looked pretty human this series Makar has been dogging him pretty well and seems the Av's are taking the body to him at every chance.

Kane is such a ass but leading the playoffs with 13 goals so I'm sure Edmonton ignores the other stuff and takes the 13. I'll take the Av's in five in this one.

Yes congrats to the Av's and Tampa made it very interesting. The Av's are going to be a beast in the Central division for awhile no doubt holding my Wild down much like Chicago did for four seasons. Now the interesting part comes with trades, drafts and who signs where.
