ok, fine, I am convinced, they have no right to protest while at work. Feel free to make them stop. Let me know how that works out.

Good grief, No one is saying the thugs can't protest.

The question is "Do they have the right to protest while at work?"
The answer is NO. They don't own the stage. They are just the actors.

The players seem not to like what the USA stands for, that's ok by me. Leave, post haste. Take your shit & scram. This will be my 2nd year of no nfl. If this behavior moves to college ball, they can pound salt also.

It's really quite simple to make them stop. Make their employment contingent upon following the rules of the work place. Not sure why you find this so complicated and hopeless.

You're talking about Constitutional rights as if they have anything at all to do with this conversation. They don't.

I don't think he quite understands how the Constitution works. Not surprising.

But, he apparently doesn't understand simple economics of pissing off your primary source of income by insulting the flag. So, it really shouldn't be surprising.

The players can protest if they want. While on the job, I don’t think they have the “right” to protest.

Now while the players CAN protest, the owners CAN fire, fine, blacklist, etc. The fans CAN stop watching and paying for tickets.

I do believe the players and their unions will fight this, but I don’t see how they could possibly win. You are on the clock getting paid to play. If off the field, in your personal free time you want to go kneel somewhere, be my guest. But when you are working, you follow the rules, whatever they might be.

I hope the overpaid douchnozzles continue to protest and alienate what is left of their fan base. I can then buy up some one of their overpriced jerseys etc and use them to mop my garage floor for pennies. It’s a business. They are getting paid to play a Game. I won’t be wasting any of my time watching them again. FU NFL.

Unfortunately you'd have to also convince Goodel and the owners (hiding under their desks on this issue) to do the right thing and hold this gutter trash personally responsible for their actions. Then the players union would come in and appeal any fines, suspensions, or terminations, and would likely have them overturned. The NFL is on a suicide course with American fans, and I for one am hopeful they are successful in killing what is left of the Golden Goose.

I heard on one of the FOX shows tonight the reason the owners don't give a damn about this issue is they're courting ten international markets to expand into, and they know those people don't care one bit about the anthem or disrespectful gutter trash. So the NFL owners appear to have taken the same course as the DNC. Instead of trying to win back the audience that made you successful, simply replace them with a new audience you can control.

I've got a practical exercise for you to try there NCal!

In this very forum, LOUDLY and vehemently protest Parabellum. Just disagree with whatever he says, disrespect the rest of us on this forum, and otherwise act as childish and belligerent as those NFL pussies. Hell, I don't care if you do it while at work or even on the front steps of your local court house in front of thousands of media reporters......

I can guarantee you one thing: You'd find yourself banned from SigForum and for good reason...you see, the owner (Parabellum), has the right to keep the stupid out of his forum. I give you this example because it is exactly the same as the NFL. The owners and the league in general, have all of the power in the world to cut this shit out, but they are pussfooting around the issue trying to salvage their image, which isn't gonna play well with anyone. I suggest you go back to 4th grade and have your teacher explain what the 1st Amendment truly does and whom it is protecting "you" from.

Again with NASCAR in a thread about NFL kneeling. Roll Eyes

We already had to disambiguate this earlier in the thread. By all means, let’s continue muddling the topic at hand.

Several NFL stars are reportedly considering not playing until Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid are signed by teams.

According to columnist Shaun King, the protesting players are hoping that up to 25 per cent of the league will join them in sitting out.

In 2016, Kaepernick drew worldwide attention and sparked a protest movement after he began to kneel during the national anthem to raise awareness of racial equality and police brutality.

He has been without a team since leaving the San Francisco 49ers in March 2017, with Reid, who joined his teammate in kneeling, also still unsigned.

Kaepernick filed a grievance back in October, saying that teams have conspired to keep him out of the NFL because of his protests.

Documents from the lawsuit showed that several teams considered Kaepernick a starting-caliber quarterback when he was made a free agent ahead of the 2017 season.
