Cornyn got an appropriate welcome

Well, I'm most certainly not in support of that. What kind of nation drafts her daughters to send to war? A misguided, morally bankrupt nation does. If my daughters choose to serve then I will support their choice, but I will not stand by and allow them to be drafted.

If you could somehow only draft radical leftists feminists, then sure. But we know that's not reality.

Bingo.

They can know. I remember a murder that happened I think in Mexico that was over 25 years ago before Fast and Furious.

The article stated the FBI traced the gun to having been sold from Traders Gun Shop in Oakland, CA. I remember that because it was a store that regularly had great sales advertisements in the newspapers. They finally pushed that store out of Oakland and made it a shell of what it once was. At some point, newspapers stopped taking their ads.

Maybe, but that gets a whole lot more complicated with private sales, which is exactly why they want universal background checks. If you don’t, or can’t own a gun the government doesn’t know you have, you’re already there. I am not. That’s what Ryan and I are talking about.

There are many ways to serve. Women could be drafted for non-combat roles, with the option of volunteering for combat.

Most of the women are in administrative positions. The remainder are nurses and medical support staff. We have had female fighter pilots for quite a while. The prospect of a draft for women is not likely.

Gross. The barracks would smell like patchouli, BO, and unkempt moose knuckles.

I still say hell no.

Women already serve a much more important role in society. Men go off to war and fight for their country precisely to protect their country's wives and daughters so that they can continue to serve that vital role. Women being drafted into the armed services is a perversion to me.

What about them? Why? Because every citizen is obliged to serve there? I couldn't care less what other countries do. In America, our women should not be drafted into the military. I can't believe anyone who calls himself a conservative would even give the idea a second thought.

But for a week every month that group would be a force to be reckoned with!

Dude, chill.

First off, EVERY post of mine in this thread has been tongue in cheek. You and I have been members here for a LONG time... I'm sure you know what I'm about.

Second, I'm hitting on concepts. No, I don't ACTUALLY support the BS about raising the age that they are trying to pass. I posted a political posturing move.

Second, I don't ACTUALLY support drafting women into the military. (although the Israelis do it well, give credit where credit is due) but merely poking fun where fun should be poked, and showing the absurdity of the other side. (cause when you do that, you make their heads explode. Who knew that logic and reason were triggers?)

But yeah, you fell for it... you said "What kind of nation.." just sayin'

Chill out dude.

Kevin

IF you can get them in synch. If not, some would be raging bitches while the rest would be moody, man haters trying to organize peace demonstrations while combat deployed…

We've got to make a coordinated effort to shift the conversation away from guns every time a nut kills someone. We'll ultimately lose this argument if we continue to allow these people to pretend mass shootings are a gun problem. This bipartisan nonsense is a terrible mistake because these people hate us and absolutely loathe the idea that we are armed. The Republican party is probably not up to the challenges ahead, but it's what we have.

We need a national association to represent gun owners.
