Justice Ginsburg hospitalized but will participate in oral argument by teleconference

https://justthenews.com/govern..._campaign=newsletter

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is hospitalized with an infection related to a gallstone but is planning to attend Wednesday oral arguments via teleconference.

The 87-year-old was treated Tuesday for "a benign gallbladder condition," according to a Supreme Court press release that said Ginsburg is "resting comfortably.”

"Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg underwent non-surgical treatment for acute cholecystitis, a benign gallbladder condition, this afternoon at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland,” the court said.

“Following oral arguments on Monday, the Justice underwent outpatient tests at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C., that confirmed she was suffering from a gallstone that had migrated to her cystic duct, blocking it and causing an infection,” it added.

Ginsburg expects to stay in the hospital for a day or two.

The Court on Monday held its first oral arguments via teleconference.

Funny how ordinary folks are being denied or asked to defer medical care due to hospitals being overwhelmed, but RBG gets admitted without delay. It's good to be the queen!

The sheer arrogance of that woman. She is clearly beyond the point that any rational person would hang up their spurs. Or have them taken from her. Pure self centered nonsense.

I have to admit that this lady definitely has a "never say die" attitude!! She should have stepped down years ago, but refuses to do so. The pancreatic cancer is compromising her bile duct and allowing the bile flow to slow, leading to stone formation. She has to be on chemotherapy for the lung and pancreatic cancer (maybe the same tumor), so her ability to fight off an infection is pretty low. She can NEVER speak ill of American Medicine, for it has kept her alive for decades!! The clock is ticking...

If she were to sadly pass away, I'd imagine it'd be "fair" for PDJT to hold off on a nominee until after the election.

Sadly pass away? Fair? Your mask must be on too tight. It’s cutting off the oxygen to your brain.

If that old bag dies before the election, I pity the person that Donald appoints to replace her. If you think the Kavanaugh hearings were a witch hunt, just wait.

Court TV broadcast what I think was the first ever live audio of SC hearings. I only caught a little of her, but was surprise to hear her seeming lucid, intelligent, and tuned in. My impression of her not really being able to perform her job was derived from her seeming to be hiding from scrutiny.
