It is now becoming obvious that the "models" of dire consequences from the virus are off......WAY OFF. And it is also obvious a number of governors are going to make this as painful as possible in the hope of hurting Trump. These shutdowns are going to cause more damage than any virus. Peoples lives and business' are being destroyed. If you're in the government your paycheck is still there and your pension isn't touched. It's time for We The People to take our lives back.

This shut down will kill so many small business.
People are resilient and will bounce back. Many restaurants will close up shop because they operate on a week to week shoestring anyway. Those who don't close will have to start from the ground up.
There are rumblings of only allowing dining facilities half capacity for a while, so that sure won't help them any.
Hopefully this economy will recover fast. Dow has been up the last two days just on the announcement of re-opening some states. The states like MI and WI may take a while because of the goofy Governors they have.

This isn’t a thread about “Which feminine hygiene product is best during COVID”. This is about states like Michigan, Virginia and Kentucky fighting back against tyranny. COVID was the side show that introduced tyranny.

I agree, tyranny has shown its face.
The allowance by so many shows me how this countries formation was an up hill battle.
I can only imagine what the first "instigators" went through before the masses engaged.
Ppl that will "site the rules" will also arrest you, violate your God giving rights, stand proud and say "I was following orders".

I think we've done a lot of things wrong - things that defy common sense when compared to the threat.

Most of what we're seeing is theatre. I recall seeing a clip on MSNBC of the top of some building in NY. The top of the building was illuminated and animated like the rotating siren on an ambulance. Oh yes, a very good show.

I hope there will be an accounting for what has been said and done. Economic damage is just as deadly as viral.

When they ban hunting and fishing (thanks Governor Douche Sock), you know it's not about "flattening the curve", it's about how much power can the government take before people start shooting.

Making decisions is difficult. I remember coming up in my company and saying what I’d do if I were in charge. Now here I sit as the President and owner. Making decisions is not nearly as easy when it’s your actual call and not just ranting at the water cooler.

That lesson has given me pause and made me not so fast to pass judgment on decisions of others as I once was.

So really, anything done in the past is a free pass imo. Leaders had very fuzzy information and had to make the best call they could. What a crappy situation.

Going forward, as we get better and better information, these leaders need to make better and better decisions. This is when I’ll start keeping score.

As long as decisions going forward are made based on what’s best and not on defending prior decisions, it should all work out.

Prove all the " experts" wrong . Protesters need to put 45 total strangers or in a motel room for 48 hours and the run out and get tested, THAT will show those so called " experts" . Take that ! Science !

Governor Blackface letting his "essential" services continue while curtailing others he deemed non-essential. Abortions are a prime example of what he has allowed but says going to a gun shop isn't an essential function. See how his politics are guiding his policies? Quit playing like you don't know what's going on.

I'll even go a step further for you.

Green Top and The Home Depot are both in Ashland. Similarly sized buildings about 100 yards or so apart from one another. The Home Depot can have as many people as can fit in there because they are essential, yet Green Top (a gun store) can only have 10 at a time. Perfect example of the Tyranny on display in VA.

Sorry, but no pass or quarter given for "past decisions" that blatantly violated the Constitution and Bill of Rights. There does not exist "fuzzy information" that permits the Constitution to be suspended to save people from a disease that 98-99 percent of people will recover from.

The Constitution doesn't have a "save grandpa" or "let the hospitals clear out" clause.

People need to come to the understanding that either the Constitution applies always, or if they think this kind of maltreatment of citizens is ok given certain circumstances, that is by definition statist.

Either you support the Bill of Rights or you don't. You can't have it both ways as so many people are now trying to do.

It seems these days one can never trust what the news, various media sources report, in any direction. There are simply too many outright lies, distortions, deceptions out there. And we have a populace where many have some mix of being ignorant-apathetic-complicit, which environment promotes dishonesty.

Having said that, I feel quite confident there is a lot of political motivation behind what I believe is a notable overreaction to the virus. The NY Gov reportedly commented along the lines that science is more important than Constitutional rights. IE, I will grab power under the guise of helping people, which is happening in a lot of places. As Rahm Emanuel said, don't let a crisis go to waste.

And it seems to me our society is becoming more contentious and divisive; which means less willingness to be unified. I think the political and economic turmoil will last much longer than the virus, we could have some real surprises in the coming months. But I think we need to stand up for Constitutional principles even when, and especially when, such goes against political correctness and popularity.

So that is a long winded way of saying I don't think it's time for "mutiny", but those who believe in the Constitution may be in for more ugly than we know.

"Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women. When it dies there, no constitution, no law, no court can save it....While it lies there, it needs no constitution, no law, no court to save it"
