Thanks for thinking of me. There has been some downs and up this year so far. I had a CT scan the first week of January that didn't go well. The report said there was evidence of spreading with regard to nodules in my lungs and it gave sizes of 2 new nodules. I was nervous about the above scan because I had had a chest infection and was on steroids and antibiotics the previous 2 weeks prior to the scan. Another CT scan was ordered and was done yesterday. The report said quote: "There is no definitive evidence of metastatic disease." No sizes were listed for the previously seen possible new nodules so they are apparently gone. It did say I have a possible chest infection again and I see my cancer doc Friday. Praise God! He has done it once again. On another up note, the house I am buying paid in full for my youngest daughter and the grandchildren has begun construction with a completion date for late summer of this year. And even better, youngest daughter's boyfriend came by my house Sunday a week ago and asked for her hand in marriage and I gave my complete blessing. Great news! While there's no "universal cure" for cancer on the horizon, every day it becomes more and more of a "manageable" disease that those afflicted can survive with. At a minimum, less invasive means of dealing with it are becoming more common and that's a good thing too. Our hopes and prayers are with you in this fight!
