Probably won't be long before a few more cities are added to the list.
$7 billion for New York. That'll make 'em start squawking.

This goes to show you that the quickest way to get a democrat to support anything is to have Trump oppose it.

The same people that are voting to defund the police, are now crying because the government is defunding the same police? Big Grin

Wait until the Breonna Taylor grand jury doesn't indict any of the cops. The liberals that have run/ruined Louisville since 1969 (that was the last gop mayor) are scared to death to announce grand jury findings. National Guard is on standby, federal building is closed this week.

Pass the popcorn and keep your head on a swivel.

Let me say that I have no inside information about the grand jury proceedings. However, based upon what I do know, I think they will indict one police officer for something like Wanton Endangerment, or something to that effect. The rest will be no true billed.

My prediction only.

I assume you're referring to the cop who went in the side door and just started shooting at nothing when he heard other shots fired.

Yep. Sounds like he fired blind. That's a no no in any language.

Again, I'm totally MMQ this based upon what I've heard through sources.

Gov DeSantis of Florida ! yes, Lead the way

Gov DeSantis:

Today I announced bold legislation that creates new criminal offenses and increases penalties for those who target law enforcement and participate in violent or disorderly assemblies. We will always stand with our men and women in uniform who keep our communities safe.

adding: as best I understand it, this is proposed to be made legislation.

Driver is NOT liable for injury or death caused if fleeing for safety from a mob.

I wonder if snow plows are good for mobs.

Not just snow plows but those with the auger screw is particularly useful in the final packaging of the body. You can then fit it into a single contractor sized trash bag without much additional effort

DeSantis is continuing to rise in my estimation as a potential presidential candidate. In theory I prefer those with executive experience; he’s got that plus military and legislative experience. Now he’ demonstrating he’s got gumption as well. Florida narrowly missed a disaster in that election!

McAtee was inside his home and business, YaYa’s Barbecue at 26th and Broadway, “calmly grilling” a little after midnight as people milled about outside of Dino's Food Mart across the street, the suit says. At the time, there had been four nights of protests over Taylor's March killing by Louisville police.

But people were “not protesting, vandalizing or looting” when police and guard members “swarmed” the area in unmarked vans and armored vehicles and began yelling for people to leave, according to the suit.

“Immediately, the police shot and killed him. Less than thirty seconds after David McAtee was cooking a sandwich, he lay dying on his kitchen floor.”

From the link: "Romines has said McAtee was firing warning shots into the air."

What could go wrong...

We talked about this a few months ago. IIRC there's video of the vic, er...dumbass
shooting a handgun. Sympathy meter reads zero for us rational people, but his face will now appear on BLM t-shorts.

Louisville is doing the Tighten Up

https://www.wdrb.com/news/stat...a4-472bd3eaedae.html

'State of Emergency' declared by LMPD as Breonna Taylor decision looms

The Louisville Metro Police Department has canceled all off days and vacation requests until further notice as the agency prepares for Attorney General Daniel Cameron's announcement in the Breonna Taylor case.

Sgt. Lamont Washington announced the decision in a Monday afternoon news release.

"The public may also see barriers being staged around downtown, which is another part of our preparations," Washington said in the statement.

Cameron has not released a timetable for the announcement. However, the federal courthouse downtown, The Gene Snyder U.S. Courthouse & Customhouse, is closed this week in anticipation of a decision in the case.

Last week, Tom Moore, the facilities manager of the General Services Administration, said the Department of Homeland Security had identified four buildings it classified as "high risk" targets in Louisville in the wake of civil backlash in connection with the decision. Those include the aforementioned federal courthouse, the Romano L. Mazzoli Federal Building, the U.S. Attorney's Office building and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement building.

The General Services Administration has already begun taking proactive steps to protect the buildings, Moore said.

I just don't get it. Louisville elected officials and police could partner with DHS and other Fed groups, as well as the governor activating the national guard beforehand and having them in place beforehand with orders to end anything that turns violent 'asap'. Putting down anything that turns violent decisively and in short order would send the right message and stem more of this BS in the future. Obviously those elected officials either don't care or they want the violence.

III. B. "Waives sovereign immunity to allow a victim of a crime related to a violent or disorderly assembly to sue local government for damages where the local government is grossly negligent in protecting persons and property."

That's going to be a quiet roadflare up the butts of every local government jackass who wants to pretend to support rioters - or avoid pissing them off. The only question is what will or won't happen to the definition of "grossly negligent" in upcoming court cases.
