Why are things being allowed to happen in Louisville? Maybe this might answer that question.

Concerning Mayor Greg Fischer of Louisville: he settled the $12Million lawsuit without consulting the Metro Council who control funding.

A “strong rumor”, not yet substantiated, has it that he was knocking knees with the head of the development corporation that wanted to re-vitalize (gentrify) the area that was under police surveillance for the drug operations that Breonna Taylor was deeply involved in. Taylor’s attorneys found out about that and were going to depose him in the civil suit, and that’s why he was so quick to settle.

Additionally, another “strong rumor” (not substantiated) has it that his wife has kicked him out of their house, which is why demonstrators no longer show up there. He may/may not have re-located to Shelbyville (in another County outside of Metro Jefferson County) which if true, means he has abandoned his office (Metro Mayor required to live inside Metro Jefferson County).

As for Governor Andy Beshear, he’s too busy talking about how bad the COVID Plague is, and wants to see things happen in JeffCo so as too divert attention from his ineptitude.

Yup, Democrats really know how to appeal to their constituents.

I don't think she was directly involved but she'd have to be an idiot not to know. Her home was used for drops and her car was used for pickups.

While they made a big deal about a "no knock warrant" it was not executed in that manner. Several residents testified in statements they heard the knocking and loud

She wasn't listed on the warrant though.

This barely got any press coverage at all here in NJ. The home of two police officers, a married couple with a newborn, was shot up in an ambush that that was clearly an assassination attempt. This was not a lone nut job situation. There were two shooters. What are we coming to?

https://ktvz.com/news/national...ir-10-day-old-child/

Shots fired at home of two New Jersey police officers who were inside with their 10-day-old child

Police are searching for two suspects after shots were fired at the New Jersey home of two police officers earlier this week while they were on the second floor with their 10-day-old child, police say.

“I don’t know what the motive is at this time, but I do know that this is a targeted attack against this residence that the officers reside,” Camden Police Chief Joseph Wysocki said in a news conference. “It’s very common knowledge that these officers live there.”

During the Tuesday night incident, six of the at least seven shots fired struck the home, Wysocki said. Two of the rounds went through the front door and into the home, but no one was injured.

One officer has been with the department for four years, the other for two years. Both officers are on leave and have not been identified.

“This attack on our officers was an affront to the department and will not be tolerated,” Wysocki said.

Police are offering a $20,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the individuals involved. An unoccupied 1998 Honda Odyssey believed to have been used in the shooting was found early Thursday morning and police are combing through the vehicle for evidence.

County, state and federal law enforcement officials are involved in the investigation, police said.

The FBI; US Attorney’s office; Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; and Drug Enforcement Administration are part of the investigation, Camden County police spokesman Dan Keashen said.

The FBI is providing technical assistance and interviewing neighbors of the officers.

The ATF’s Newark Field Division firearms tracing center is assisting, Special Agent in Charge Charlie J. Patterson said.

“I want to send a very clear message to the scumbag thugs behind this senseless act,” Camden County Freeholder Director Louis Capelli, Jr. said at the news conference. “We are coming to get you and you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

Ain't that the truth! I know people, that are Republicans, including my niece that think both of these fucking assholes are doing a good job.

Elections have consequences. The people of the Commonwealth should have known better than to elect Beshear the lesser into office. As far as Louisville goes, the work Abramson did to re-develop the Thompson block (and downtown as a whole) into a thriving retail area has gone sideways in recent years.

Louisville is suffering from the same decay and cultural dry rot as other Democrat controlled rust belt cities, it just is not as far along the curve.

The local prosecutor is enabling these riots.

Record arrests, repeat offenders, dropped charges: August protest stats

https://www.koin.com/news/prot...ugust-protest-stats/

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — August was a month for the history books in Portland. Officers with the Portland Police Bureau made more protest-related arrests than any prior month, though July saw dramatic clashes and dozens of arrests by federal officers during their defense of the Mark O. Hatfield Federal Courthouse.

The two highest-profile crimes to take place at or near the nightly clashes don’t actually factor into the data, though, because the suspects either weren’t arrested or were taken into custody well after the fact.

The man accused of brutally attacking a pickup driver in downtown Portland turned himself in days after the alleged crime. And Michael Reinoehl, the self-described antifa supporter suspected of murdering right-wing protester Aaron Danielson on Aug. 29, was never arrested for the crime: federal agents shot and killed him in Lacey, Washington as they attempted to take him into custody.

According to jail records and press releases, PPB made 295 arrests in August. Of those, 14.9% were alleged repeat offenders. Kristopher Donnelly, 26, has been arrested four times at protests just during the month of August. Only one case against him is still open in Multnomah County, according to court records. However, he was recently charged with civil disorder by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for allegedly assaulting an officer and being involved in East Portland riots.

Brandon Paape, 31, has also been arrested four times since the protests began. Only one case is still open.

All charges appear to have been dropped against 40-year-old Peter Curtis (preferred name Tabitha Poppins), who had also been arrested four times (Curtis notched a fifth arrest in early September).

The youngest person arrested in August was 15 and the oldest was 60, with an average age of 29.65.

The most common charge suspects were arrested on was interfering with a peace officer, followed by disorderly conduct, both charges that are unlikely to be prosecuted by the Multnomah County District Attorney’s office. In fact, some people facing the more serious felony charge of assaulting an officer have also already had their charges dismissed.

Note: At least 28 people arrested in August were previously detained at protests and there were a total of 44 arrests involving alleged repeat offenders.

The Feds will put a stop to it.

Feds say protester in Portland threw a rock but he says it was a bouncy ball. He now faces assault charge.

https://www.oregonlive.com/por...-assault-charge.html

Rock or bouncy ball?

That’s the question in a federal case filed against a 20-year-old man now accused of assault on a federal officer.

Prosecutors say Nicholas Joseph Bantista threw a rock that struck the helmet of a Federal Protective Service officer around 11:30 p.m. Friday outside the ICE field office in Southwest Portland after ignoring multiple orders to disperse.

Bantista told authorities it was a bouncy ball and that he didn’t mean any harm.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Natalie Wight on Monday told a judge that Bantista had been living in a tent in Portland for three or four days and came to the city “to wreak havoc during these riots.” Bantista is from Illinois and is on probation for assaulting an officer there, according to court records.

Bantista should be held in jail at least through the upcoming weekend when a “giant melee” or “potentially violent” demonstration is planned, Wight said. She was referencing a planned rally by the right-wing Proud Boys, set to take place Saturday in Delta Park. The group has gained national attention for its heated rhetoric and marches that often devolve into violence.

“We want to keep him and the rest of the community safe this weekend,” Wight said.

Bryan Francesconi, an assistant federal public defender representing Bantista, said the government is resorting to “pure hyperbole” to paint his client as a danger to the community.

Francesconi said the government lacks evidence showing Bantista threw a rock or came to Portland to riot. Bantista stopped here on his way to live along the Washington coast after spending three weeks in San Francisco, he said.

On Friday night, officers chased Bantista, “took him to the ground” and arrested him after he was seen throwing what a Federal Protective Service officer thought was a rock that struck the officer’s helmet near Southwest Moody Avenue and Bancroft Street, according to a federal affidavit.

During a struggle, police recovered an airsoft replica gun between Bantista’s chest and the ground, the affidavit said. Police had no idea if the gun was real or not when they tried to arrest him, Wight said.

During an interview at 3:13 a.m. while in custody inside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement building, Bantista admitted to throwing an object at an officer but claimed it was a bouncy ball and he didn’t intend any violence, the affidavit said.

Officers had seen such balls thrown at them earlier in the night.

The officer struck, though, said the object “felt denser than a bouncy ball and the sound and impact of the object felt against (the officer’s) helmet was more consistent with a rock,” wrote Agent Thomas McNutt , a fellow Federal Protective Service officer, in the affidavit.

Police also seized a box of nail gun cartridges from Bantista and were investigating whether the airsoft gun may have been altered to fire the cartridges, Wight said.

Bantista is on probation stemming from a September 2019 conviction for felony aggravated assault of an officer in Illinois, Wight said. He waved a gun and told police he’d fire it if they didn’t shoot him, she said.

He also was arrested in June on suspicion of damaging state property in Illinois and suffers from mental health issues, the prosecutor said.

Francesconi said he’d agree to have Bantista sent to a halfway house, the Northwest Residential Re-Entry Center in Northeast Portland, saying he doesn’t pose a danger.

“He goes to a protest site littered with bouncy balls, and he throws one of them,” Francesconi said.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Youlee Yim You ordered Bantista to remain in custody. She said his past criminal history and arrests in Illinois stood out as “red flags” for her, noting he’s on felony supervision and faces other charges.

Bantista is one of 40 people accused of assault on a federal officer stemming from the protests in Portland that began shortly after the May 25 death of George Floyd, a Black man who died after a Minneapolis police office knelt on his neck for more than eight minutes. Another 11 people are accused of federal civil disorder.

Four people have been charged with federal arson or attempted arson. Twenty-one others are accused of failing to comply with a federal officer’s order. Four are accused of creating a hazard or disturbance on federal property and three with destruction or damaging federal government property.

From the article that Fed161 posted about the shooting into the home of the Camden, NJ police officer’s -

“Gov. Phil Murphy Friday said he was “shocked and disgusted by the despicable and cowardly actions” of the assailants.”

“shocked”, huh?!

Well WTF did you think was going to fucking happen when the city police force was disbanded in 2012 or 2013 and the duties relegated to a regional police force?! The head-count of the re-hired officer’s were drastically slashed along with their salaries and bennies.

FFS!!

As written about in this article and other’s -

Why Camden, N.J., the Murder Capital of the Country, Disbanded Its Police Force

We used to enjoy taking the family to the aquarium in Camden when they were younger, but that stopped immediately following the news release of their insanity. My dad and I also cancelled a trip we were planning on taking to see Battleship New Jersey.

Something about the “Chicken’s have come home to roost.”

Seattle pays ex-pimp $150,000 to offer ‘alternatives to policing’

https://nypost.com/2020/09/22/...natives-to-policing/

Seattle now has on its payroll a convicted pimp who once vowed to “go to war” with the city — a $150,000 “street czar” whose mission is to come up with “alternatives to policing,” reports said.

Andre Taylor — who appeared in the documentary “American Pimp” about his life as “Gorgeous Dre” — is getting $12,500 per month for a year, along with an office in Seattle’s Municipal Tower, according to the contract published by PubliCola.

It comes just a year after his organization, Not This Time, was paid $100,000 to sponsor a speaker series that was called “Conversations with the Streets.”

Taylor led one of the first rallies in Seattle after the police-custody death of George Floyd, the Seattle Times said.

He was later accused of trying to get millions from the city for militants who set up the controversial police-free Capitol Hill Occupied Protest (CHOP) zone, the Seattle Times said.

“Don’t just leave. Leave with something,” he told activists in a meeting caught in a recording, telling them to demand $2 million to exit the site of much of the city’s worst violence this year, the report said. They ignored his advice, the paper said, with one saying the money grab felt “off.”

Some of those militants then accused him of betraying them, too, when he appeared at a press conference with the mayor to tell them to shut down CHOP — the same day he was given his six-figure contract, the paper said.

The new street czar justified the contract to KOMO News as payment for his “particular genius in a particular area” — saying he can talk to “gang members, pimps and prostitutes” who “won’t sit down with anybody else.”

“Black people as a whole have not been in a place to be compensated for their genius or their work for a very, very long time,” he said.

“Not too many people can go talk to gangbangers in their territory, and then go talk to the government in their territory,” Taylor also told the Seattle Times.

Taylor first found notoriety in Las Vegas, where he was sentenced in 2000 to more than five years in prison, serving little more than a year, the Seattle Times previously noted.

Some of the girls he pimped for were underage, according to court reports in the Las Vegas Sun.

“I was born from the streets; I come out of the deep darkness,” he said in a YouTube video earlier this year, bragging how he “had children with some of the women who were with me” when he was a pimp.

“We decided we were going to be in this subculture, like the Mafia, whether you liked it or not,” he said of his life. “We knew you considered us the waste of the world from the beginning. We didn’t care what you thought about us … just like I don’t care what you think about me now.”

He came to Seattle in 2016 after his brother, Che Taylor, died in a police shooting — saying he was “here to go to war,” the Seattle Times noted.

As street czar, his contract tasks him to “provide recommendations to the City on de-escalation, community engagement, and alternatives to policing.”

Mayor Jenny Durkan’s spokesperson Kelsey Nyland told the Seattle Times the contract was offered because of an “existing working partnership.”

Taylor’s group was chosen because of its “lived experience with the criminal legal system, and their history of successful advocacy and activism on issues of policing and dismantling systemic racism,” Nyland added, noting that the city is spending millions this year on similar contracts with various groups.

I’d suggest reading up a bit more on the situation if you don’t think she was directly involved. Specifically the jail phone call transcripts where she talks about picking up and taking money to the trap house.
She WAS specifically listed on the warrant name, date of birth, social security number, and of course address.
While she was not the main target she was certainly a known associate at conspirator. She likely never handled any of the drugs directly but that does not matter. She provided shelter, transportation, and moved money.

She knew EXACTLY what she was involved in.
