"Knocked to the ground"? Seriously, WSP? He was choked out. There's at least two videos, one of them very clearly showing the choke. Unbelievable. Troopers couldn't even get to the scene because of the backup.

the video was an interesting take on the situation however I disagree with his premise that looting because of a convenient riot doesn't mean that you're part of the riot is fallacious

if you truly don't want to be part of the riot and treated as seditionists, then loot at some other time and location

time to start getting serious about this

and we need to start going after the DA's - what part of the law makes them immune from consequences if they're aiding and abetting the terrorists

The Twitter crazies are now threatening even more violence if there's any attempt to fill Ginsburgs' seat on the court.

Minneapolis PD To Business Owners: Reinforcements Aren’t On The Way

The owner of Pedego Electric Bikes sent an email to the local Police Chief saying that his employees are too frightened to come to work now. The answer he received:

from Inspector Sean McGinty:

As far as a long-term plan I don’t have one.

I have lost 30% of my street officers since the end of May. Budget cuts from COVID-19 and an additional 1.5 million from the council in August we have let go 17 CSO’s and canceled a recruit class of 29. A potential Cadet class slated for January of 2021 was also eliminated.

It takes about a year to get a police Officer onto the streets with hiring, backgrounds and field training so reinforcements aren’t coming anytime soon. We are doing everything we can with what we have. I hate to see great businesses like yours and the rest of your corridor being victimized and feeling unsafe.

Please let me know if you have any more questions.

I don't see a problem with what the officer is telling the business owner in your quote. He doesn't have the manpower, it's because their funding was cut, and he's doing the most he can with what he has. Essentially, if you don't like it, vote the morons who did this out of office. What else can he tell the guy?

slab,

The point is that Inspector McGinty is telling the truth.

The DEM politicians put Minneapolis in a terrible position.

Okay, I read that totally wrong. Yep, we are both thinking the same way. Sorry!

Friday Night Riots Return to Portland — Police Appear to Be Well Rested by the Way They Respond

For nearly two weeks, the nightly riots in Portland that took place for the past three months have been largely absent. Some attributed the fall-off in activity to the presence of numerous wildfires in the Pacific Northwest, while others saw a connection between the increased number of cases charged by the US Attorney in Oregon and the decline in enthusiasm by the BLM/Antifa crowd.

Whether the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg was the spark they were missing, or the rioters had always planned on returning to action tonight, return is exactly what they did.

The Portland Police Bureau, Oregon State Police, and various federal law enforcement agents were on hand to meet them. The feds came out to “play” because the rioters decided to try and occupy some street frontage near an ICE facility in Portland.

lots of videos at link

the last video is my favorite

Time for prosecutors to dust off the law books.

18 U.S. Code § 2384. Seditious conspiracy

If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

We just fired 4 officers and a sergeant for an in-custody death that happened in January. (Technically they are recommended for termination, the Civil Service board makes the final decision).

Waiting for the other shoe to drop to see if any are charged. And what protests come.

A decade ago none would have been fired. Frankly, some or all of them screwed up. Dude ate crack and they knew it and left him alone for 20 minutes and he went into cardiac arrest. They violated several policies.

I just hope the organized groups don’t add this to their focuses and bring more riots. We’re finally recovering from RNC.

Knowing what one is talking about is widely admired but not strictly required here.

Although sometimes distracting, there is often a certain entertainment value to this easy standard.

SO at what point, faced with assassination attempts, do the police pull back and let an outraged public over flowing with righteous indignation rush in to take out thew trash with extreme prejudice? That is all that it would take. Make the announcement. Give the green light. Fade to black and watch the insurgents be put down over night.

The owner of the car had a sign Antifa did not like.

Someone does that to me that are ALL getting run over until every last one of them is down or scattered. I mean, forward, reverse, turn around, and make sure the job is done.

Bust a window with me inside? That is carjacking and deadly force is justified.
