They didn't want the bad publicity.

So we just had a domestic terrorist attack and people are allowed to post things like the antifa group did? There is something wrong with that.

Earlier, mbinky, you said words to the effect that you didn't want to hear anyone offer up the First Amendment as an excuse.

Doesn't change the fact that the First Amendment is an anvil; the Second Amendment is the hammer.

It's a GOOD THING when your enemies self-identify so unambiguously.

And it's a fact that if their free speech can be shut down by government action, then so can yours. So don't be so hasty.

Thanks,

Sap

Antifa and other left wing groups have been committing one terrorist attack after another in the open. Just because they haven't murdered people doesn't mean they haven't used force, threats, and actual violence day in and day out.

Facebook can do whatever it wants, but I like to know who the enemy is that lives around us. Shutting people up seldom accomplishes anything of value.

A little difficult to ignore the facts about this guy. They would've looked foolish (well, more than usual that is) if they had tried to ignore it. This guy left no doubt about where he stands on matters. Seemed all he cared about was politics. It consumed his life.

The Trump era obviously is pushing all these people over the edge. President Trump threatens everything they stand. And it's all too real for them this time.

The shooter did have something in common with many of us: he proclaimed on his facebook page #neverHillary.

Gunman ‘was living out of the gym bag,’ former Alexandria mayor says

Former Alexandria mayor Bill Euille said he had talked with alleged shooter James T. Hodgkinson nearly every morning for the past month and a half and even tried to help him find a job after he realized that the man was living out of his gym bag.

Euille (D), who lost a reelection bid last year and was the city’s first African American mayor, said that when he went to work out at the local YMCA between 7 and 7:30 a.m. each day, he usually saw Hodgkinson showering after his own workout. Euille’s habit is to work out, then go to the Y’s lobby and have coffee and read on his phone. Hodgkinson was always there, on his laptop.

They began talking after Hodgkinson heard people greeting Euille as “Mayor.” They never talked about political issues, but when the lobby television would show some political news and others would comment about President Trump, “he indicated he agreed with us,” Euille said.

“After the first or second week, he asked about good places to eat . . . within walking distance,” Euille said. “ A long weekend was coming up, and he asked what was going on in town. . . . That was the type of conversation we had.”

When Hodgkinson asked about available jobs, Euille, a general contractor, asked about his skills and learned that he was a home inspector. But when he forwarded some possibilities, Hodgkinson said he didn’t have a bachelor’s degree.

“He was a very friendly person,” Euille said. “But what I did notice about this gentleman is he’d open up his gym bag and in it, he had everything he owned. He was living out of the gym bag. That, and he sat in the Y’s lobby for hours and hours. Outside of myself, I don’t think he knew anyone else in town.”

Euille could not get to the YMCA this morning, because of the police lockdown. But when he exchanged messages with the Y’s manager, he was told that Hodgkinson had been in the gym and left about 7 a.m. and walked over toward the ballfield.

In my experience, I have seen things escalate-- really spin out-- when you have retaliation. And then retaliation for the retaliation. And so it goes.

I don't think that will happen, and I hope it will not. We have President Trump, the House, and the Senate. We have a new SC appointee, and likely will have more. We are holding the reins of power.

The Democrats-- that is, the anarchists, parasites, socialists and commies in the party-- are trying everything they can to create major disruptions so that Trump is hamstrung. Now that "collusion" with Russia is dead in the water, they are pushing "obstruction of justice" and clamoring for impeachment. BLM, Antifa, and fanatics like the dead fascist, are doing their part at the same time.

So this is the time to stay focused, settled, and continue the agenda that drives these lunatics further insane.

And clean your rifle.

Sounds like a really nice guy....

"Earlier, in April 2006, police records show Hodgkinson went to a neighbor’s house looking for his daughter and “used bodily force to damage” a wooden door upstairs. Witnesses said Hodgkinson forced his way into the home looking for his daughter and grabbed her by the hair when he found her upstairs, according to a police narrative on file with St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department.

His daughter escaped and got into the neighbor’s car, but Hodgkinson opened the door of the car, pulled out a pocket knife and cut off the seat belt she was wearing, records show. Hodgkinson’s wife joined him, struggling to pull their daughter out of the car, as Hodgkinson punched the neighbor who was in the driver’s seat of the car in the face, witnesses told police.

Later, Joel Fernandez, the boyfriend of the woman who was punched, went to Hodgkinson’s home to confront him. He said Hodgkinson “walked outside with a shotgun and aimed it at Fernandez face,” a complaint states. Hodgkinson struck Fernandez on the side of his face with the wooden stock of the shotgun and fired off one round as Fernandez ran away.

Police arrested Hodgkinson and his wife and charged them with domestic battery and aggravated discharge of a firearm, according to a narrative obtained by The Post. Police also recovered a 12-guage shotgun. The county clerk’s online database shows the charges were later dismissed."

Well... somebody was at his home in Belleville. His grass was cut, the flowers watered, etc. Weird.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

A couple of questions: With so many threats coming from so many groups on the left, who is responsible for providing security for members of Congress? Would it be possible to provide a security detail for each one?

As it stands, only leadership of the parties have security and it's Capitol Police. It would cost a fair amount to add 1000+ security jobs.

So if they had enforced the law, he likely would not have had the means to do this.

This would be a good opportunity for the "overwhelming majority" of peaceful progressives to disavow this "resistance at any cost" crap and settle down. Unfortunately, we may be waiting for them longer than we wait for the peaceful Muslims to rein in their own.
