I wonder why he chose now?

My almost 2 year old daughter is absolutely fascinated when I build towers out of blocks. She watches in awe as I stack them up as high as I can make them stand. Then as soon as I am finished placing the last block she will lean in and knock it over.

Same reason.

I suspect he let them continue to pile up their mountain of BS so high that it became relatively unstable and much easier to knock over.

I'm not stating a position one way or another, but for the non-lawyers out there, there is a crime-fraud exception to the attorney-client privilege. The privilege may not apply to e-mails if the e-mails constitute evidence of a crime. Therefore, the mere fact that Mueller may possess e-mails that are considered privileged is not an issue with respect to the privilege, if they provide evidence of a crime (and were produced in the commission of that crime).

Are they talking about attorney client privilege or chief executive (presidential) privilege?

They were emails by the president elect team.

Mueller is casting a very wide net--something or somebody is bound to get caught. That's no way to run a prosecution, is it?

That's exactly how you run a persecution.

This investigation has stepped way beyond "collusion" and has entered "remove Trump at any cost".

But then that was Mueller's real directive. That's why he expanded his "investigation".

He is a scumbag. A traitorous fuck, just like his protege Comey. He can take his "bronze star" and shove it up his ass. He was an admin pogue.

saw this point in

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/...team-emails-n2423547

regarding the news that Muellar has thousands of transition emails and that he is using those to guide questions of Trump administration individuals,

all of those emails were after the election.

They were transition emails.

This is another example where Muellar has gone far beyond his assigned area. He is trying to come up w anything to cause major roadblocks to the Trump administration (MHO).

And now for something completely different, but which also demonstrates the difference between the current administration and the previous one:

On a quiet December morning, Secy. Ryan Zinke lays wreaths on graves of fallen comrades.

Republicans have zeroed in on deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe, top counterintelligence agent Peter Strzok, FBI attorney Lisa Page, former associate deputy attorney general Bruce Ohr and his wife Nellie, who reportedly worked for Fusion GPS, the firm that compiled opposition research on Trump in 2016.

"Chairman Goodlatte has told us he is going to subpoena those individuals," said Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio)

Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) chairs the House judiciary committee

Jordan: "President Trump won, in spite of the Republican establishment being against him,
the Democrats being against him,
the elite media being against him and
the FBI and Justice Department being against him."

link to ltr from President Trump lawyer to congress about Muellar getting the transition emails.

title: Unauthorized Review of Private, Privileged Materials by the Special Counsel's Office

Ltr says the transition team had an agreement w GSA that nothing would be released w/o notification and routing to the transition team legal counsel. That didn't happen.

The FBI sent a letter (not a subpoena) to GSA requesting copies of the emails, laptops, cell phones associated w 9 members of the transition team. Then another FBI letter requested such materials for 4 more transition team members.

There was no filtering of privileged material.

How does the GSA gather and hand over tens of thousands of e-mails in a few weeks while it takes the State Department and FBI more than a year and countless Court orders to produce a few hundred Clinton emails?

What about the 30,000 on the server?

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

The Washington Post reported on the Kremlin’s statement on the call.

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday phoned President Trump to thank him for a tip from the CIA that thwarted a terrorist attack being planned in St. Petersburg, the Kremlin said…

Putin told Trump that the information provided by the CIA allowed Russian law enforcement agencies to track down and detain a group of suspects that was planning to bomb the centrally located Kazan Cathedral and other crowded parts of Russia’s second-largest city.

Putin asked Trump to pass along his gratitude to the CIA and the American intelligence agents who received the intelligence, the Kremlin said. It said that Putin also told Trump that “if Russian special services obtain any information on terrorist threats against the United States and its citizens, they will definitely and immediately pass it to American counterparts through partner channels.”

Trump called Putin on Thursday to thank him for his remarks in a press conference crediting Trump’a actions strengthening the U.S. economy and to talk about North Korea according to the White House. (Perhaps the call touched on other matters and this was a cover story in part.)

The Kremlin calls were just at the top of WaPo. Scroll down a bit for Trump transition team charges Mueller obtained emails improperly, but legal experts challenge those claims if you want to read it. The point is, the fake news media is finally covering the story.

The phone calls from Putin to Trump do seem important as it indicates that the CIA is working in assistance Russian special services, i.e., US/Russian relations are not as bad as being advertised by some. Here is ZeroHedge's sarcastic coverage of this collusion between Trump and Putin : http://www.zerohedge.com/news/...d-terrorist-bombings
