Yeah, I have thoughts.

The SAME people that assured us that Trump was DONE, was OUT, repeatedly and then told us that Hillary was inevitable are now starting with this wishful thinking bullshit?

Mr Blade, we were more worried about being forced out. Not resignation. I do not know how the impeachment proceedings work, but the thought of it has been bugging me. When we do see a news story - Impeachment keeps coming up.

I think I will go back to a news blackout and get my info from this forum.

Thanks guys.

He calls them on their bullshit and has pulled the blinders off of many people that have otherwise been in the dark about the behaviors of the left. Fewer and fewer people are buying what the media is pushing, and that is due to President Trump. The media and the rest of the left are at a point now, where they must begin their final descent so to speak. They have driven a giant wedge into their own base with identity politics, so they are hemorrhaging more voters than they are picking up. Not one chance that this man gives up the presidency!

With every new accusation or criticism of President Trump I become more resolute. I look for those who are on the fence and try to gently pull them our way; small gov't vs large, Capitalism vs Socialism etc.

Trump resign? Don't think so. From everything I see and hear he seems to be holding his own pretty well. He didn't become so successful in the private sector by being easily swayed.

I said, "thank you, Lord" when President Trump was elected, and I say it to this day when I hear him speak out, return a salute (without a Starbucks in hand), support the military, law enforcement etc.

Impeachment occurs in the House. "Conviction" in the Senate. It's more a political process than a legal process. The House is much more conservative currently than the Senate (with at least 6 RINOs).
Muelller would have to come up with something big before the House would vote to impeach. The Democrats would have to convince a whole lot of Republicans to vote for impeachment. Not gonna happen.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Here is something to think about, that is not discussed often, but going to effect the country dynamics throughout this term and the next: Generation Z. (1995-2010, 73M or so)

Unlike Millennials who were raised by self esteem building, everyone gets a prize, hippie music Boomers; Gen Z was raised by tough love, winners and losers (mostly losers), grunge music Gen X. They grew up in the great recession, with parents that taught them to be pragmatic, independent and in survival mode. Also, unlike Millenials who view life and jobs as "finding meaning and making the world a better place", Gen Z are putting money and job security at the the top.

Know why every pundit was wrong during election night and Trump soundly won? Everyone forgot about Gen Z's first vote. By all accounts, they are one of the most conservative generations, both socially and financially. Gen X grew up in the Cold War of nuclear threats, Gen Z has grown up with terrorism, school shootings, job outsourcing and staggering national debt.

They are the smart phone generation, true digital natives, that get their news from everywhere but MSM. They are the ones listening to Milo, Ben Shapiro, Coulter, 4chan, and red pill/video playing/political youtubers like Leafyishere, Sargon of Akkad, and Internet Historian.

This group hates CNN and other MSM more than any other. They are Kekistan, and most importantly, weaponized autism.

For one of the best examples, look at this example them going after Shia LaBeouf, its hilarious:

Link to original video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vw9zyxm860Q

They launched the meme war on CNN.

So, not only is Trump going to survive and thrive this term, I have full confidence on him winning the next.

Shadilay! Wink

Interesting article about Steve Bannon's comments to the washington post:

quote:
White House Strategist Steve Bannon continued to ridicule Democrats for focusing all of their political energy on race divisions, claiming they had no idea what inspired President Donald Trump’s supporters to vote for him.

“This past election, the Democrats used every personal attack, including charges of racism, against President Trump. He then won a landslide victory on a straightforward platform of economic nationalism,” Bannon wrote in an email to the Washington Post. “As long as the Democrats fail to understand this, they will continue to lose. But leftist elites do not value history, so why would they learn from history?”

As Trump faces criticism from Republicans and dissent from his own advisers, Bannon is trying to refocus the media narrative on the president’s economic agenda.

In an interview with the American Prospect, Bannon also gave his frank assessment of the Democrat’s agenda.

“The Democrats, the longer they talk about identity politics, I got ’em. I want them to talk about racism every day,” he said. “If the left is focused on race and identity, and we go with economic nationalism, we can crush the Democrats.”

Ironmike, another thought that may help, as it's keeping me going.

We see the insane opposition that Trump faces, and know that it would make most of us back off, retreat. Not Trump, though. He's made of sterner stuff, which is why we voted him into office.

The insanity of the opposition is infinitely worse than I thought it would be, but Trump is up to it, and will remain so in my opinion. It wouldn't hurt to let him know that we're still behind him, though. I'm considering getting a Tweet account (whatever the fuck it's called) just so I can be on his list of followers:

She said "I hope", and not "I am going to".

Forget the Secret Service. Ethics proceeding should be forthcoming from the Missouri Senate, since this America-hating ghetto trash will not resign. She needs to be removed from office. Hell, come to think of it, I like that idea better than the bitch resigning.

I need no shot of confidence, nor any rallying speeches.

I believed in Trump, and voted to nominate, and voted to elect.

"...choose you this day whom ye will serve..."
(Thanks, Josh)

Notice that you choose before the time to serve is at hand.

Choosing to do a thing and setting you mind, when the time is easy and your head is clear, so that when the time is at hand that you have to stand on the choice, your fotting will be firm.

Trying to make a decision in the heat of the moment and with emotion in the way, is not the best course of action.

I made my choice to support DJT so that when this day arrived, I was already standing where I needed to be, with my feet set firmly.

I won't be moved.

Drudge, NYT: Bannon Out

Bannon had one hell of a run...

Trump Tells Aides He Has Decided to Remove Stephen Bannon

President Trump has told senior aides that he has decided to remove Stephen K. Bannon, the embattled White House chief strategist who helped Mr. Trump win the 2016 election, according to two administration officials briefed on the discussion.

The president and senior White House officials were debating when and how to dismiss Mr. Bannon. The two administration officials cautioned that Mr. Trump is known to be averse to confrontation within his inner circle, and could decide to keep on Mr. Bannon for some time.

As of Friday morning, the two men were still discussing Mr. Bannon’s future, the officials said. A person close to Mr. Bannon insisted the parting of ways was his idea, and that he had submitted his resignation to the president on Aug. 7, to be announced at the start of this week, but it was delayed in the wake of the racial unrest in Charlottesville, Va.

Mr. Bannon had clashed for months with other senior West Wing advisers and members of the president’s family.

But the loss of Mr. Bannon, the right-wing nationalist who helped propel some of Mr. Trump’s campaign promises into policy reality, raises the potential for the president to face criticism from the conservative news media base that supported him over the past year.

Mr. Bannon’s many critics bore down after the violence in Charlottesville. Outraged over Mr. Trump’s insistence that “both sides” were to blame for the violence that erupted at a white nationalist rally, leaving one woman dead, human rights activists demanded that the president fire so-called nationalists working in the West Wing. That group of hard-right populists in the White House is led by Mr. Bannon.

On Tuesday at Trump Tower in New York, Mr. Trump refused to guarantee Mr. Bannon’s job security but defended him as “not a racist” and “a friend.”

“We’ll see what happens with Mr. Bannon,” Mr. Trump said.
