Not everyone uses Apple. That link is useless to me.

But I think she is only out of the Team Competition right now. And it appears to be because of some kind of mental breakdown, not physical. Though who knows? She's been shaky since the start.

Was the man's post directed only at you? I want you to take it easy and not let all these little things irritate you so much. If you have a criticism or some advice, or if you just want to bitch, do it politely or don't bother.

Apologies to the forum. Seems that I'm letting other things not related to this group of fine gentlemen come through and cause me to be short this morning while posting. Message received. I'll take it easy.

Is it that, or did she hurt her ankle? If it's mental, then that's what she gets for parading around with goats and thinking she's the greatest of all time.

At this point I've heard both, so I don't know. Most seem to say an injury though.

For me, it's simple- if a competitor has kept their mouth shut- if they haven't crapped on the country that gave them everything, I support them in their efforts, selfish though they may actually be.

If, however, they've run their ignorant suck wherever and whenever possible, I hope they are defeated so badly that they never fully recover mentally from the loss. STOMPED. I'd root for North Korea or the freakin' Taliban over trash like Rapidhole. Those groups don't make any pretense of their hatred for us, unlike the spoiled little bitches on the US women's soccer team.

When does HORSE become an Olympic sport?

And speaking of that, it always chaps my ass during the Olympics that swimming has so many medal events compared to other sports. They literally give a medal for taking multiple stupid ways to get from one end of the pool to the other. Breast stroke? Back stroke? Why not side stroke? And if those are all legit, then why isn't there a 100 meter hop, skip, and jump? BTW, that would be three different events in swimming. Oh, and all done at four different distances, plus a relay and a medley.

She's the oldest member of the team at 24 and, she's the most decorated gymnast in history; not sure I've seen any chest-beating or, grand-standing from Biles. Should she decline every endorsement deal that comes her way? She was also the biggest name to come out against that pervert Larry Nasser.

Ok here’s some of my bitching which I’m sure I could look up the answer but I don’t care enough for that effort level. Why do I turn on canoeing only to see what by any definition in my head is a kayak? Oh and there is a kayak event as well.

Fencing. Where the fuck do I start? My senior in college daughter and I watched women’s fencing. Perhaps the most ludicrous and annoying sport I have watched so far. Every fucking chick who got a point would scream at the top of her lungs after getting the point. Every fucking time. Also my daughter and I both agreed that this would be an actual sport if they replaced all the prancing around by giving them actual swords. It would actually look like sword play at that point. Not making a “looks” commentary but I will also point out that when our national team looks like the entry list for the Nathans hot dog contest, how athletic is this “sport” in reality?

I only follow the equestrian events. The US dressage team took Silver, first time since 1948. Germany of course took Gold, but good to see US getting higher on the podium. Great Britain, Spain, and Netherlands are always so amazing to watch as well.

I don't know if many here know but GLOCK owns a large equestrian facility with GLOCK Performance Horses in the Netherlands. Some of the best stallions in the world are there and two of them were in the Olympics competing in Dressage this year.

Yeah, unlike track, which has a long way to go to catch up with swimming in the medal proliferation game. Show me a track athlete ever who had the opportunity to win as many different medal events as a swimmer like Spitz or Phelps. How many could Bolt have won if they let him hop, skip, jump and run for 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, etc.

Umm she is wearing a GOAT leotard for starters. Pretty sure I saw something where she was walking around with a goat behind her as well. I've seen a ton of other cocky stuff around her lately, so if this was mental, she is getting some humility.

It sounds like you get your impression of what "sword play" looks like from Errol Flynn or Blade movies. The problem with watching fencing is that the uneducated eye can't follow the different techniques used during engagements.

Have you fenced competitively?

Perhaps you'd like epee fencing more?

No, Daoism isn't a religion

Didn't know about the GOAT stuff.
She's practically a neighbor (she lives in the neighborhood next to mine & her gym is about 2 miles from my house).
Curious to see the official explanation for her withdrawal.

Now, there's something I'd watch. Besides, anybody named "Sir Guy" deserves whatever they get.

"When this is over, my friend, there'll be no need for me to come again!"

Ooooh, Sir Guy! Big Grin
