Biden administration is feeding the MSM their BS excuse to their sheep of not shooting the balloon down is that it might hit some people. Montana is a pretty big state with just over a million people for all that land. My opinion, Biden does not want to anger his Chinese overlords by destroying their property. God Bless Smile

The news is saying there’s a second one somewhere over Canada; the Canadians are “investigating” …

The U.S. military has been flummoxed and defeated by two giant Chinese spy blimps, one of which is floating around collecting data over our nuclear warheads in Billings, Montana. That’s where we store an arsenal of 150 nuclear-armed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles, at Malmstrom Air Force Base.

The other one is parked over Canada, probably standing by to float south over the United States.

NBC ran the story yesterday, headlined “Suspected Chinese Spy Balloon Found Over Northern U.S.” That headline is grossly misleading. It’s a giant blimp, not a “balloon.” And U.S. officials admitted it’s from China, it’s not “suspected.” Stupid NBC.

And, “found.” Like somebody stumbled over it while paragliding or something. Why didn’t our radar see it coming from China long before it got to our nuclear base? Did it teleport from Shanghai? Is it an inter-dimensional stealth blimp?

Anyway, we THINK it’s still over Billings, but U.S. officials are covering for the Chinese for some reason. NBC News reported:

A senior defense official said the balloon is still over the U.S. but declined to say where it is now.

Wait. Why not say where it is now? Who are defense officials protecting? Have they lost track of the damned thing?

And that’s it. There’s nothing we can do. It defeated our entire military. They say they don’t want to shoot it down because they’re afraid of getting hit by shrapnel or something. It’s better to just let it bob around, marking the exact locations of all our nuclear warheads:

The leaders reviewed the threat profile of the Chinese stratospheric balloon and possible response options, and ultimately decided not to recommend taking it out kinetically, because of the risk to safety and security of people on the ground from the possible debris field.

Wait — they’re just NOW thinking about debris? A hundred years of defense contracting, and they come up with ANY way to safely dispose of an enemy war blimp? Well, I say we need a giant refund from our defense contractors. We should have a missile or a laser or something that could burn it all up before it hits the ground. Or a plane that could snag it and tow it over the ocean before we blast it out of the sky.

But no. Apparently not. We have nothing, not one thing, in the entire military arsenal that can counter this devilish surprise technology invented by the Chinese three hundred years ago.

But don’t worry, our security is so bad it doesn’t really matter anyway:

“Currently we assess that this balloon has limited additive value from an intelligence collection perspective over and above what the PRC can do through other means,” the senior defense official said.

The Chinese spy “balloon” is three school buses wide. Corporate media is calling it a “balloon” to make it sound harmless. It’s just a balloon, calm down. But then they admit that it’s big enough to cause significant damage if it hits the ground. So which it is?

It’s not a balloon. It’s a gigantic gasbag, and I’m not talking about Joe Biden. It’s a war blimp.

Can you imagine China even TRYING this during the Trump Administration? And if they did, can you imagine our response being to let it drift around the continent collecting data?

Just because the civilians reported it doesn't mean the military wasn't aware of it.

I hope they have a way of detecting a nuclear warhead or EMP device. Seems like either one of those would be pretty catastrophic.

There are no nukes in Billings, and Malmstrom is in Great Falls.

Everyone already knows the exact location of our nukes. It's not exactly a secret.

It's commentary moreso than reporting...

Right

Look at the attention this silly shit has gotten. If you think this balloon is an indication of Chinese bad intent, ask yourself what might have happened if in, say, November of 1941 the Japanese had sailed an aircraft carrier close to the Hawaiian islands and then flown Kates over Pearl Harbor in daylight without dropping any bombs.

Do you think the United States would have been better prepared when December 7th came around?

People are saying that they can spot this thing with binoculars. This is not how you probe an enemy. Whatever is this balloon, it's not what the intelligent, level-headed, nonsensational news media is making it out to be.

What if the purpose of this glorified weather balloon is just to screw with us? Don't you think the Chinese know how things are reported in American news media, and how our society is filled with panicky half-wits?

And if you actually believe that the US military didn't know about this thing before it was reported by civilians, well, now they know and now they'll be on the lookout for these things. They just need to get on Amazon Prime and buy a good pair of binoculars, preferably not made in China.

It may be a Chinese gender-reveal party item that got caught in the jet stream.

Of course, they have only one type of ballon over there- IT'S A BOY!!

That really takes the surprise out of it, though.

OK, here ya go. You can choose to believe them, or not:

https://www.foxnews.com/world/...ian-research-airship
quote:
The People's Republic of China confirmed Friday that the balloon craft floating over the northern United States is Chinese.

"The airship is from China. It is a civilian airship used for research, mainly meteorological, purposes," a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson confirmed Friday. "Affected by the Westerlies and with limited self-steering capability, the airship deviated far from its planned course."

The spokesperson said China regrets the incident.

The statement continued, "The Chinese side regrets the unintended entry of the airship into US airspace due to force majeure. The Chinese side will continue communicating with the US side and properly handle this unexpected situation caused by force majeure."
Caught in the jet stream. How easily could this story be found to be a lie? All we would have to do is shoot it own, track it to ground and take a look. The Chinese would be caught in a lie in an incident which now has worldwide attention, and be found to have knowingly violated US air space in the bargain. Let's put on our thinking caps. Roll Eyes

Just look at how people freaked out over this, due in no small part to the sensationalist news media.

Man this story sound familiar. Real or maybe from a movie? The idea of a military invasion/airspace encroachment being officially brushed off as something ‘civilian’ related.

Argh…this is going to bug me all day. Anyone?

If it is a dern balloon then it seems to me like one could poke a hole in it and it would in theory just slowly come down... or how about let it drop down to a manageable altitude and just snag it and bring in down.

Perhaps you are recalling Japanese actions during WWII, when they sent balloons that reached the western half of the United States.

They sent balloons carrying containers filled with millions upon millons of fleas infected with bubonic plague (or anthrax, I can't recall).

They also managed to kill a half dozen American civilians by dropping a bomb from one of these balloons.

Parked right over our main ICBM missile fields?

And that's a bonus in all of this- the Chinese already know that the Biden administration is nothing but a bunch of clowns and that the US military is evincing weakness these days. They didn't need a balloon to confirm this.

But, what about the American public? Do you think this might have been a wake-up call for the politically indifferent among us?
